The Duke of Edinburgh this morning officially opened Athelstan Garden, Queen’s Promenade, Kingston-upon-Thames, and, having been received by the Reverend Martin Hislop (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), this afternoon viewed a flotilla of vessels from Minima Yacht Club, High Street, Kingston-upon-Thames, marking the One Thousand One Hundredth Anniversary of the Coronation of King Athelstan, the first King of All England.
