Windsor Castle
The President of the United States of America and Mrs Trump arrived at Windsor Castle today on a State Visit to The King and Queen.
The Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed The President and Mrs Trump on behalf of His Majesty in the Walled Rose Garden and walked to Victoria House where The President and Mrs Trump were met by The King and Queen.
The President of the United States of America and Mrs Trump, accompanied by Their Majesties with Their Royal Highnesses, drove in a Carriage Procession to Windsor Castle with a Sovereign’s Escort of the Household Cavalry.
Gun Salutes were fired from the East Lawn by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and at HM Tower of London by the Honourable Artillery Company.
A Guard of Honour was provided at Windsor Castle by Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards, 7 Company Coldstream Guards and F Company Scots Guards with the Massed Bands of the Foot Guards and the Pipes and Drums.
The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery marched past, The Sovereign’s Escort of the Household Cavalry ranked past and the Guard of Honour marched past.
His Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms, The King’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard and the Military Knights of Windsor were on duty.
The President of the United States of America and Mrs Trump this afternoon visited St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, and were received by the Dean (the Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth).
The President and Mrs Trump laid a Wreath on the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II in The King George VI Chapel.
The President of the United States of America and Mrs Trump, accompanied by The King and Queen, later attended a Beating Retreat on the East Lawn by the Massed Bands of the Royal Marines Portsmouth, the Band of the Scots Guards and the Central and College Bands of the Royal Air Force, joined by The United States of America Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and subsequently witnessed a fly-past by United States and United Kingdom F-35 aircraft and the Red Arrows of the Royal Air Force.
The King and Queen gave a State Banquet this evening in honour of The President of the United States of America and Mrs Trump at which The Prince and Princess of Wales, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.
