The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Southbank Centre, this afternoon held a Meeting for representatives of the Arts Sector at the Royal Festival Hall, Belvedere Road, London SE1.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Southbank Centre, this evening attended a Concert at the Royal Festival Hall.

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended a Service of Dedication and Thanksgiving for le Paradis Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall Road, Alrewas, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Professor Elizabeth Barnes).

Her Royal Highness, Fellow, the Science Museum, later attended a Reception at the National Railway Museum, Leeman Road, York, to mark their Fiftieth Anniversary and, having been received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs Johanna Ropner), opened Station Hall.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Mount Everest Foundation, this morning received Ms Rebecca Stephens (Chairman), Mr Duncan Sperry (President designate, the Alpine Club) and Mr Charles Burbridge (Hon Secretary, the Alpine Club).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Western Approaches, 1-3 Rumford Street, Liverpool, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside (Mr Mark Blundell).

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Liverpool Empire Theatre, 1 Lime Street, Liverpool.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Army Medical Service, subsequently attended a Service in Commemoration of Captain Noel Chavasse, VC and Bar (died of wounds in 1917) in Liverpool Cathedral.
