Windsor Castle

The King and Queen this evening held a Reception at Windsor Castle for Armed Forces veterans who served in the Second World War in the Pacific and Indian Ocean Territories to commemorate the Eightieth Anniversary of Victory over Japan Day.

The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

The Queen this morning travelled on a Poppy Train from Chippenham Railway Station, Cocklebury Road, Chippenham, Wiltshire, to London Paddington Railway Station, Praed Street, London W2, to attend Great Western Railway’s Poppies to Paddington commemoration.

Her Majesty arrived at Paddington Railway Station and, having been received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), attended the Poppies to Paddington — Railway 200 Remembrance Service at the Station’s War Memorial on Platform One, and laid a wreath.

Her Majesty this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House for the Booker Prize and the recently announced Children’s Booker Prize.

Kensington Palace

The Princess of Wales this morning attended the Armistice Day Service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall Road, Alrewas, and laid a wreath, and was received by Mr Graham Morley (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire).

St James’s Palace

The Duchess of Edinburgh, accompanied by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Peru (His Excellency Mr Gavin Cook), today carried out engagements in Peru.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Meeting with Indigenous Women Leaders at La Mona Cafetería, Jirón Fitzcarrald, Iquitos.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this evening attended a Dinner at Casa de Fierro, Jirón Putumayo, Iquitos, with Peruvian civil society organisations and co-operatives working in the fields of sustainability and climate protection.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today carried out the following engagements in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Australian Corps of Signals, and Royal Patron, Certa Cito Foundation, today visited Gallipoli Barracks and attended a Reception to mark the Centenary of the Corps.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, this afternoon held an Investiture at Government House Queensland.

Her Royal Highness afterwards called upon the Governor of Queensland (Her Excellency the Hon Dr Jeannette Young) and Professor Graeme Nimmo at Government House.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later departed from Brisbane International Airport for Singapore.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, St George’s Society of New York, this morning received Mr Marc Walby (President) and Mr Joshua Mandelbaum (Executive Director).

His Royal Highness, Patron, St George’s Society of New York, this evening attended the Advisory Council Dinner at the House of Lords, London SW1.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Turn2us, this morning received Ms Arvinda Gohil upon assuming her appointment as Chairman.

Mr Thomas Lawson (Chief Executive) was present.
