COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The King held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

His Majesty afterwards presented Elizabeth Emblems.

The King held a Council at Buckingham Palace at 4.15pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Sir Alan Campbell MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Heidi Alexander MP (Secretary of State for Transport), the Rt Hon David Lammy MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) and the Rt Hon Joanna Stevens MP (Secretary of State for Wales).

Sir Stephen Cobb was sworn in as a member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt Hon Sir Alan Campbell MP had an audience of The King before the Council.

Later, the Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty.

The Queen, Patron, this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of English National Ballet.

By command of The King, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Mrs Diana Marcela Vanegas Hernández at 8 Dorset Square, London NW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of El Salvador to the Court of St James’s.

By command of His Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr Nehemia Sekhonyana Bereng at 7 Chesham Place, London SW1, today in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Kingdom of Lesotho in London.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, President, Sport and Recreation Alliance, this morning attended the Annual General Meeting at St James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness, President, Sport and Recreation Alliance, this afternoon held a Ninetieth Anniversary Celebration at St James’s Palace.

The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended a United Kingdom-India Reception at Lancaster House, Stable Yard, London SW1.

His Royal Highness later attended a Reception at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador, 4 Grosvenor Square, London W1.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, accompanied by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Peru (His Excellency Mr Gavin Cook), today carried out engagements in Peru.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited Clavero Naval Base, Iquitos.

The Duchess of Edinburgh later visited the Veinte de Enero Community, Nauta, to view sustainable bio-economies in the Amazon Rainforest.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning arrived at Singapore Changi Airport and was received by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore (His Excellency Mr Nikesh Mehta).

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, today carried out the following engagements in Singapore to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Singapore:

The Princess Royal, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this morning visited Kranji War Cemetery, 9 Woodlands Road, and laid a wreath.

Her Royal Highness later visited HMS Spey at Tuas Port.

The Princess Royal this afternoon visited the National Orchid Garden at Singapore Botanic Gardens, 1 Cluny Road, and attended an orchid-naming ceremony.

Her Royal Highness afterwards called upon The President of the Republic of Singapore at the Istana, Orchard Road.

The Princess Royal later attended The King’s Birthday Party Reception given by the British High Commissioner at the Residence.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, President, the Britain-Nepal Society, this morning received Colonel Nicholas Hinton (Chairman, the Britain-Nepal Society), Ms Deepika Neupane (Member, the Rise Up Foundation) and Ms Jules Lynch (Chief Executive Officer, Global Girl Project).
