The Duke of Edinburgh this evening departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Nigeria.

Brigadier Alexander Potts is in attendance.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, accompanied by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Guatemala (Her Excellency Mrs Juliana Correa), this morning visited Tikal, Petén, Guatemala.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the indigenous community of Uaxactún, Petén.

The Duchess of Edinburgh later departed Mundo Maya International Airport, Flores, for Belize and was received upon arrival this evening at Philip SW Goldson International Airport, Belize City, by the Governor-General of Belize (Dame Froyla Tzalam).
