The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended a Dinner at Government House.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Belgium and was received upon arrival this afternoon at Brussels Airport by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium (Her Excellency Mrs Anne Sherriff).

His Royal Highness, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, later met young Belgian participants and those who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award, at the Residence of His Majesty’s Ambassador.

The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited the Waterloo 1815 Museum, Route du Lion 1815, Braine-l’Alleud.

His Royal Highness this evening laid a wreath at the British Memorial at Hougoumont Farm, Chemin du Goumont, Braine-l’Alleud.

The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently laid a wreath at the French Memorial before attending a Reception at Hougoumont Farm.

His Royal Highness later arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Belgium.
