COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle

The Queen this morning marked the Centenary of the Royal Australian Air Force at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Runnymede Air Forces Memorial, Cooper’s Hill Lane, Englefield Green, near Egham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr. Michael More-Molyneux), the High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Australia (His Excellency the Hon. George Brandis in London), Ms. Clarie Horton (Director General, Commonwealth War Graves Commission) and Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Wigston (Chief of the Air Staff).

Her Majesty, having witnessed a flypast by the Red Arrows, attended a Service to mark the Anniversary and laid a wreath.

The Queen viewed panels bearing the names of Australian War Dead and a photographic display of the Fallen Airman in the Northern Cloister of the Memorial, before meeting serving Royal Australian Air Force personnel.

The Rt. Hon. Boris Johnson MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty via telephone this evening.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning spoke to Mr. Ian Sandilands (Community Nursing Clinical Team Leader, Mainland, and Employee Director, NHS Shetland) via telephone.

His Royal Highness afterwards spoke to Dr. Derek Cox (Clinical Lead for Contact Tracing, NHS Grampian) via telephone.
