The following were received in audience by The King today and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mrs Sally Axworthy (the Republic of Kazakhstan), Mr James Downer (the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria), Ms Katherine Leach (the Republic of Latvia), Mr Christopher Rampling (the Kingdom of the Netherlands) and Dr Carol van der Walt (the Dominican Republic and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Haiti).
Dr Nicola Neary, Mrs Lies Lauwers and Mr Paul van der Walt were also received by His Majesty.
The Queen, Patron, The Queen’s Reading Room, this afternoon received Ms Amanda Mackenzie (Chairman) and Mrs Amanda MacManus (Trustee) at Clarence House.

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Mousehole Football Club, Paul, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Sir Edward Bolitho).
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Edinburgh, Chairman of the Trustees, The Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, this afternoon attended a Trustees’ Meeting, followed by a Dinner, at Eton College, Windsor, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr Andrew Try).
The Duchess of Edinburgh today carried out the following engagements in Peru accompanied by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Peru (His Excellency Mr Gavin Cook).
Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this morning visited Centro de Visión “Divino Niño Jesus”, Iquitos.
The Duchess of Edinburgh this evening attended a Reception celebrating United Kingdom-Peru relations, at Británico (the Peruvian-British Cultural Association), Jirón Camaná, Lima.
Her Royal Highness afterwards attended a Dinner given by His Majesty’s Ambassador in Lima.
St James’s Palace
The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today carried out the following engagements in Singapore to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Singapore.
Her Royal Highness this morning called upon Mr Lawrence Wong (Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore) at the Istana, Orchard Road.
The Princess Royal this afternoon visited the Airbus Asia Training Centre, 12 Seletar Aerospace Crescent.
Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the Rolls-Royce Seletar Campus, 6 Seletar Aerospace Rise.
The Princess Royal this evening attended a Briefing on the work of British companies in Singapore, at the Residence of the British High Commissioner.
Her Royal Highness subsequently attended a British and Singapore Business Dinner at the Residence of the British High Commissioner.
The Princess Royal afterwards departed Singapore Changi Airport for the United Kingdom.
