The King, Honorary Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Navy Aircraft Carriers, this morning visited HMS PRINCE OF WALES at sea and was received on the Flight Deck by the First Sea Lord (Admiral Sir Benjamin Key), the Chief of the Air Staff (Air Vice Marshal Sir Richard Knighton) and the Commanding Officer (Captain William Blackett).

His Majesty was received with a Royal Salute.

The King, escorted by Warrant Officer Class One Simon Hargreaves (Executive Warrant Officer), toured the Ship and met members of the Ship’s Company.

His Majesty was graciously pleased to address the Ship’s Company.

The King, escorted by the Commanding Officer, subsequently observed F-35 Aircraft conducting Carrier Deck landings.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at the Palace of Holyroodhouse this afternoon.
