Buckingham Palace

The King, Royal Founding President, The King’s Trust, this morning received Miss Michelle Pinggera (Deputy Chairman, The King’s Trust International).

The King and Queen this afternoon visited Darjeeling Express, Kingly Court, Carnaby Street, London W1, in advance of Ramadan, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa) and the Owner of Darjeeling Express (Ms Asma Khan).

Their Majesties viewed a demonstration of henna artwork, assisted in the packing of donation boxes and met representatives of the Muslim community in the United Kingdom.

The King afterwards joined a discussion with members of the British Syrian community at Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, Kingly Court, and was received by the Founder (Mr Imad Al Arnab).

The following were received by The King later upon their appointment as His Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Robert Fenn (Nepal), Mr Ramin Navai (the Republic of El Salvador) and Mrs Sanda Win (the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Burma).

Mrs Fenn and Mrs Paola Victoria were also received by His Majesty.

The following were received by The King upon their appointment as British High Commissioners: Mr Simon Day (the Gabonese Republic), Mr Andrew Patrick (the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka) and Mr Colin Wells (the Kingdom of Eswatini).

Mrs Patrick was also received by His Majesty.

The Queen this afternoon held the Grand Final of the BBC 500 Words creative writing competition, followed by a Reception, at Buckingham Palace.

Kensington Palace

The Prince and Princess of Wales this afternoon visited Pontypridd Market at Market Street, Pontypridd, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Mid-Glamorgan (Mr Peter Vaughan).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited residents in Sion Street, Pontypridd, who have been affected by flooding and were received by Colonel Philip Hubbard (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Mid-Glamorgan).

The Prince and Princess of Wales later visited Meadow Street Community Garden, Meadow Street, Pontypridd, and were received by Dr Richard Lewis (Deputy Lieutenant of Mid-Glamorgan).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Production Guild of Great Britain, this afternoon visited the Farm, 58-62 Newman Street, London W1.

His Royal Highness, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, this afternoon held a Luncheon at St James’s Palace.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, Plan International UK, this afternoon held a Meeting.

Her Royal Highness later attended a Panel Discussion and Reception for the Commonwealth Youth Gender and Equality Network at the Ismaili Centre, 1-7 Cromwell Gardens, London SW7, and was received by Mrs Lynn Cooper (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal this morning visited flood damage on Newerne Street, Lydney, and was received by Mr Roger Deeks (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Jones Food Company Limited’s Vertical Farm, Old Forge Place, Lydney, and was received by Ms Sybil Ruscoe (Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

The Princess Royal later visited Camphill Village Trust’s Taurus Crafts at the Old Park, Lydney, and was received by Ms Susie Hewson (Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Veterans Housing Scotland, Earl Haig Gardens, Edinburgh, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

His Royal Highness, Patron-in-Chief, Scottish Veterans’ Residences, afterwards visited Whitefoord House, 61 Canongate, Edinburgh.

The Duke of Gloucester today visited the Scottish National War Memorial at Edinburgh Castle.
His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this afternoon officially opened the newly renovated offices at St John’s House, 21 St John Street, Edinburgh.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, later held the Installation of Mr Simon Mackintosh as Prior of the Priory of Scotland and Laying Up of the Banner of the late Sir James Stirling of Garden (former Prior) at Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, subsequently held a Reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

His Excellency Reverend David Tiva Kapu was received in audience by The King today upon his appointment as Governor-General of Solomon Islands when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George.

Madam Kapu was also received by The King.

The Queen, having been received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Lady Colgrain), today unveiled a statue of Aphra Behn at the entrance of the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, 18 High Street, Canterbury, and subsequently visited the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Football Association, this afternoon received Mr Mark Bullingham (Chief Executive) and Mr Thomas Tuchel (Head Coach, England National Football Team) at Windsor Castle.

The King this morning arrived at Burton upon Trent Railway Station and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Sir Ian Dudson) and the District Mayor of East Staffordshire (Councillor Shelagh McKiernan).

His Majesty drove to J.C.B. World Headquarters, Lakeside Works, Rocester, which is celebrating the company’s Eightieth Anniversary and was received by the Chairman (the Lord Bamford).

The King toured the factory, meeting members of staff, their families and apprentices.

His Majesty this afternoon visited Tower Brewery, the Old Water Tower, Walsitch Maltings, Glensyl Way, Burton upon Trent, and was received by the Owner (Mr John Mills), before meeting members of local businesses.

The Queen this morning attended a Meeting of the “Ending Violence Against Women and Girls” Wiltshire Coalition at Bowood House Hotel, Old Road, Derry Hill, Calne, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Dame Sarah Troughton).

By command of The King, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Robert Ondrejcsak at 25 Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Slovak Republic to the Court of St James’s.

The Princess Royal, Vice Patron, the British Horse Society, today visited the Stable Mates Plus (Wales) Programme at Lower Stockland Competition and Livery Centre, Croft y Gennau Road, St Fagans, Cardiff, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs Morfudd Meredith).

The King this morning visited the Centre for Injury Studies at Imperial College London, White City Campus, 80-92 Wood Lane, London W12, and was received by Mr Kevin McGrath (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), His Excellency General Valerii Zaluzhnyi (Ambassador from Ukraine to the Court of St James’s) and the President of Imperial College London (Mr Hugh Brady).

His Majesty, escorted by Professor Shehan Hettiaratchy (Major Trauma Director, Imperial College London), toured laboratories, receiving briefings on the Centre’s research in armoured protection and prosthetics and viewing demonstrations of virtual reality biofeedback technology and machinery used to stimulate the creation of combat injuries.

The King met researchers, clinicians, others associated with the Centre for Injury Studies and its work with Ukraine, and Ukrainian students at Imperial College London.

The King this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace for Disasters Emergency Committee member agency Chief Executive Officers.

The Queen, Royal Colonel, 4th Battalion, The Ranger Regiment, this afternoon received Colonel Michael Devenish upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Charles Bairsto upon assuming the appointment.

Her Majesty, Patron, London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children, later received Mr Michael Son at Clarence House upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr Antony Moore upon assuming the appointment.
