The King and Queen this afternoon visited Middlesbrough International Centre, 7 Abingdon Road, Middlesbrough, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs Johanna Ropner), the Co-Founder of Investing in People and Culture (Mr Biniam Araia) and the Mayor of Middlesbrough (Mr C Cooke).

Their Majesties met representatives of local community groups and voluntary services, police officers and young people.

The King afterwards visited SeAH Wind Limited, Middlesbrough, and was received by the President and Chief Executive Officer of SeAH Steel Holdings (Mr Joosung Lee).

His Majesty, escorted by Mr Peter Ivey (Chief Operations Officer of SeAH Wind Limited), toured the facility, viewing the production process and meeting equipment operators, construction apprentices and representatives of local businesses.

The King and Queen later attended the Love Boro! Cultural and Civic Heart Welcome at Middlesbrough Town Hall, Albert Road, Middlesbrough.

The Queen, having been received by Sir Henry Wilmot, Bt (Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire), this afternoon joined a Celebration at Middlesbrough Town Hall to mark the work of the National Literacy Trust in the Town, followed by a Reception in the Old Fire Station where, as President, the Maggie Keswick Jencks Cancer Caring Centres Trust, Her Majesty met local representatives of the Charity.

The King was represented by Mrs Susan Snowdon (His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham) at the Funeral of Sir Paul Nicholson (formerly His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham) which was held in Durham Cathedral this afternoon.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Honorary Air Commodore, today visited Royal Air Force Wittering, Peterborough, and was received by Brigadier Timothy Seal (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire).

His Royal Highness attended a Lunch given by the Lord Mayor of Dresden at Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon viewed the “Lernweg Dresden” education project in Neumarkt Square and afterwards visited Frauenkirche Dresden.

The Duke of Kent, on behalf of The King, later attended ceremonies to commemorate the Eightieth Anniversary of the destruction of Dresden.

His Royal Highness viewed a performance by the Palucca University of Dance Dresden and subsequently attended a Conference held by the City of Dresden in New Town Hall.

The Duke of Kent this evening participated in the “human chain” Commemoration Ceremony in Theaterplatz.

His Royal Highness later attended a performance of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem given by Dresden Philharmonic at the Kulturpalast.

The King this morning visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 782 High Road, London N17, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (Mr Daniel Levy), the Chairman of Trustees of Tottenham Hotspur Foundation (Ms Donna-Maria Cullen) and the Mayor of Haringey (Councillor S Jameson).

His Majesty met alumni of The King’s Trust, groups funded by the King Charles III Charitable Fund, young people from the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham and representatives of local businesses supported by Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The King walked through the players’ tunnel and viewed a demonstration on the football pitch by children involved in the Huddle Project, before joining young players participating in a workshop.
His Majesty, Patron, International Rescue Committee UK, this afternoon received the Rt Hon David Miliband (President and Chief Executive Officer, International Rescue Committee) and Ms Khusbu Patel (Interim Executive Director, International Rescue Committee UK).

The following were received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr James Hooley (the Republic of Cuba) and Mr Richard Porter (the Plurinational State of Bolivia).

Mr Sidnei Dos Santos was also received by His Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The King upon their appointment as British High Commissioners: Ms Sarah Cooke (the People’s Republic of Bangladesh) and Mr Neil Wigan (the Republic of Kenya).

The King this afternoon visited the Duchy of Cornwall’s Nansledan Development, Newquay, having been received at Cornwall Airport Newquay by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Sir Edward Bolitho).

His Majesty viewed site plans at Newquay Orchard Café, before proceeding on foot to Newquay Orchard Community Kitchen, and thence to Newquay Orchard allotments and meeting charity staff, volunteers, students and beneficiaries.

The King afterwards visited Nansledan School (Skol Nansledan), viewing the gymnasium, a food technology class, sports in the playground and the garden planting area.

His Majesty later walked through Kew An Lergh to Market Street and met representatives of Kew An Lergh businesses and residents in Sabzi Café, before meeting community groups in the Community Centre and, subsequently, apprentices and builders at the construction site of the next phase of the development.
