Her Royal Highness, Patron, Holy Trinity Church Appeal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Reception at Holy Trinity Church, Bell Lane, Minchinhampton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Ledbury town centre and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire (the Countess of Darnley).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the Master’s House, St. Katherine’s, Bye Street, Ledbury.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon continued the visit around Ledbury town centre.

His Royal Highness later visited Salter’s Hill, Salter’s Hill Barn, Keepers Cottage, Falcon Lane, Ledbury.

The Duke of Gloucester subsequently visited Bevisol Limited, Orchard Business Park, Ledbury.

The Lieutenant Governor of Québec (the Hon. Michel Doyen) was received by The Queen today.

Madame Pauline Théberge was also received by Her Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr. David Quarrey (the State of Israel), Mr. Brian Davidson (the Kingdom of Thailand) and Mr. Robin Barnett (Ireland).

Mr. Aldo Henriquez and Mr. Scott Chang were also received by Her Majesty.

Miss Katharine Ransome was received in audience by The Queen upon her appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received the Lieutenant Governor of Québec (the Hon. Michel Doyen).

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, later visited Barclays Eagle Lab, 81 Palace Gardens Terrace, Kensington, London W8, and was received by Lady Arnold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, this evening held a Dinner at Clarence House.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, this morning visited the Ebony Horse Club, Millbrook Road, Brixton, London SW9, and was received by Mrs. Colleen Harris (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, President, UK Fashion and Textile Association, this morning visited Joshua Ellis and Company Limited, Grange Valley Road, Batley, to celebrate its Two Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Dr. Ingrid Roscoe).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this afternoon opened the Newcastle offices and visited Newcastle City Library, Charles Avison Building, 33 New Bridge Street West, Newcastle upon Tyne, to celebrate the Eight Hundredth Anniversary of Newcastle City Council’s Mayoralty and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mrs. Susan Winfield).

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this evening attended the Younger Brethren Guest Night at Trinity House, Trinity Square, London EC3.

His Excellency Mr. Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of India in London.

Mrs. Sinha was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr. Derick Ally was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of Seychelles in London.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Baroness Buscombe and the Baroness Vere of Norbiton were received by The Queen this afternoon upon assuming their appointment as Baronesses in Waiting to Her Majesty.

The Lord Henley was received by The Queen upon assuming his appointment as a Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty.

The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.
