The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, this morning visited the maternity unit at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Baglan Way, Port Talbot, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mr. Byron Lewis).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Butler Trust, this afternoon visited HM Prison Swansea, 200 Oystermouth Road, Swansea, to mark the Twenty Fifth Anniversary of the Listener Scheme.

The Princess Royal then later visited the Community Horse and Pony Scheme, at Cefn Golau Park, which is based at Cefn Stylle Road, in Gowerton, Swansea.

Lieutenant General Sir Robert Fulton as received by The Queen today when Her Majesty handed to him the Rod, Badge and Chain of Office upon his appointment as King of Arms of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Sir Anthony Figgis was received by The Queen and delivered up to Her Majesty his Rod, Badge and Chain of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Usher of the Blue Rod of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George.

Dame DeAnne Julius was received by The Queen upon her appointment as Usher of the Blue Rod of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George when Her Majesty handed her the Rod, Badge and Chain of Office.

Dr Stephanie West was received by The Queen this afternoon and delivered up the Insignia of the Order of Merit worn by her husband, the late Dr Martin West.

Ms Rachel Dillon (Dr West’s daughter) was also received by Her Majesty.

The Lord Fellowes (Secretary and Registrar of the Order of Merit) was in attendance.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.
