The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, afterwards viewed marine turtle conservation at Long Beach, Georgetown.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, later departed Ascension for the United Kingdom.

The Duchess of Rothesay, Chancellor, the University of Aberdeen, this afternoon opened the Rocking Horse Nursery and visited the Fluid Mechanics Laboratory at the University of Aberdeen and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Aberdeen (Councillor George Adam, the Lord Provost).

Her Royal Highness afterwards presented a Coat of Arms to the Burgesses of the Guild of the City and Royal Burgh of Aberdeen to mark the Eight Hundredth Anniversary of their Royal Charter, in the Sir Duncan Rice Library.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this afternoon arrived in Mare Harbour, Falkland Islands from South Georgia and subsequently attended a Reception for local residents at the Southern Cross Social Club, Fox Bay Village, West Falkland.
