The King this evening held a Reception for members of the Judiciary at Windsor Castle.

By command of His Majesty, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Mrs Gurly Gibson Schwarz at 23 Fitzroy Square, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Liberia to the Court of St James’s.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon held a Luncheon for the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario (the Hon Edith Dumont) at St James’s Palace.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning visited cross-borough community projects at Cranford Community College, Hounslow, Middlesex, and was received by Mrs Rosemary Prescott (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, later visited the Fight for Sight Laboratory at University College London Institute of Ophthalmology, 11-43 Bath Street, London EC1.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, this evening attended a Reception to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of Wellbeing of Women, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, 1 Embankment Place, London WC2.

The Duke of Gloucester, Vice-Patron, National Churches Trust, was present at the Memorial Service for the Lord Cormack (former Vice-President) which was held at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

The King visited Hamworthy Barracks in Poole, Dorset.

The King, Captain General, Royal Marines, later visited Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, Lympstone, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr David Fursdon) and the Commandant General Royal Marines (General Gwyn Jenkins).

The King was received on parade with a Royal Salute and presented Green Berets and The King’s Badge to The King’s Squad, 362 Troop.

Afterwards His Majesty viewed specialist training and met Commando Forces, recruits and instructors, before attending a Reception in the Officers’ Mess with recruits and their families, veterans and charity employees.

Today is the Seventy Sixth Anniversary of the Birthday of The King.

The King this morning visited the Coronation Food Project Hub in Deptford, Unit 4, Deptford Trading Estate, Blackhorse Road, London SE8, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), Dame Martina Milburn and the Baroness Casey of Blackstock (Co-Chairmen of the Coronation Food Project), Ms Dori Dana-Haeri (Chairman of Development Commitment, Coronation Food Project), the Executive Director of King Charles III Charitable Fund (Ms Nikki Jeffery), the Chief Executive Officer of the Felix Project (Ms Charlotte Hill) and the Mayor of London (the Rt Hon Sadiq Khan).

His Majesty, escorted by the Chairmen, met representatives and supporters of five Coronation Food Project Hubs located across the United Kingdom, representatives of surplus food distribution organisations, and manufacturers and supermarket retailers of the Food Alliance Sourcing.

Having met beneficiaries, members of staff, volunteers and local schoolchildren, The King spoke via video link to representatives of the Coronation Food Project in Liverpool, before officially opening Deptford and Liverpool Coronation Food Project Hubs.

The Prince of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, today visited Simon Community, the Foyer, 3-5 Malone Road, Belfast, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Dame Fionnuala Jay-O’Boyle).

His Royal Highness afterwards met representatives of the Northern Ireland Creative Industries and young people learning screen industry skills at Ulster University, York Street, Belfast, and was received by Mr Shane Quinn (Deputy Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, British Paralympic Association, and The Duchess of Edinburgh today visited Stoke Mandeville Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Mandeville Road, Aylesbury, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Countess Howe).

His Majesty received the Bishop of Sodor and Man (the Venerable Patricia Hillas), who did homage upon her appointment.

The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King.

The King, Patron, the Film and Television Charity, on the occasion of the Charity’s Centenary, this evening attended the World Premiere of Gladiator II at the Odeon Luxe, Leicester Square, London WC2, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London) and the Chairman of the Film and Television Charity (Ms Claire Tavernier).
