His Excellency Mr Syed Ibne Abbas was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in London.
Mrs Abbas was also received by Her Majesty.
His Excellency Mr Fernando Lopez-Fabregat was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Oriental Republic of Uruguay to the Court of St. James’s.
Mrs Maria Carolina Silveira was also received by Her Majesty.
Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.
Rear Admiral Simon Williams was received by The Queen this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Defence Services Secretary when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon attended a Meeting on “Putting Health at the centre of the Climate Change debate” at the Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.
His Royal Highness, President, this evening attended the Business in the Community Leadership Summit at the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
The Prince of Wales later gave a Dinner for the Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia at Clarence House.
