The King, accompanied by The Queen, this morning drove to Tuanaimato Sports Complex, Apia, Upolu, Samoa, and was received by the Prime Minister of the Independent State of Samoa (the Hon Fiame Naomi Mata’afallency) and the Baroness Scotland of Asthal (Commonwealth Secretary-General) and opened the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

His Majesty this afternoon gave a Reception for new Commonwealth Heads of Government at Taumeasina Island Resort, Beach Road, Apia.

Later, the Rt Hon Christopher Luxon MP (Prime Minister of New Zealand) was received in audience by The King at Taumeasina Island Resort.

His Majesty subsequently held an Investiture at Taumeasina Island Resort.

The King afterwards opened The King’s Garden, Robert Louis Stevenson Museum, Vailima.

The King and Queen this evening gave a Dinner for Commonwealth Heads of Government at Robert Louis Stevenson Museum.

The Queen this afternoon visited Samoa Victims Support Group and toured the Group’s Campus of Hope facility, before opening The Queen Camilla Pre-School of Hope.

The King was represented by Mr Alan Simpson (His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk) at a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Lieutenant Colonel Sir James Stirling of Garden (formerly Her late Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk) which was held in Dunblane Cathedral this afternoon.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs Celia Innes.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Mr Simon Mackintosh.

The Princess Royal this morning opened the British Standards Institution International Electrotechnical Commission Annual Meeting at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, the Exchange, 150 Morrison Street, Edinburgh, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The King and Queen this morning drove to the National University of Samoa, Apia, Upolu, Samoa, and were received by The Head of State of the Independent State of Samoa and Masiofo Fa’amausili Leinafo.

Their Majesties attended an ‘Ava Ceremony at the National University of Samoa.

Afterwards, The King, escorted by the Vice-Chancellor and President of the National University of Samoa (Professor Tufuisa’a Dr Patila Amosa) and the Secretary-General of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (Professor Colin Riordan), walked to the University’s Old Foundations Courtyard and attended the launch of The King’s Commonwealth Fellowships.

The King and Queen this afternoon visited Moata’a Village and were received at Moata’a Village Church Hall by the Paramount Chief of Moata’a Village (Tofaeono Iupati Fuatai).

His Majesty was bestowed with a High Chief title (Tui-Taumeasina).

The King, accompanied by the Paramount Chief, visited Moata’a Village Mangroves Restoration Walk and was received by the Hon Toeolesulusulu Cedric Schuster (Minister of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment).

His Majesty afterwards visited The Head of State of the Independent State of Samoa at the Residence of The Head of State in Apia.

The King and Queen later visited the Samoa Cultural Village and viewed demonstrations of traditional arts and crafts and met members of the local community.

The King subsequently attended a Commonwealth Heads of Government Business Forum at the Sheraton Samoa Aggie Greys Hotel, Main Beach Road, Apia, and was received by the Co-Chairman of His Majesty’s Sustainable Markets Initiative (Mr Brian Moynihan).

The King later visited O Le Pupu’Pue National Park and, having been received by the Falealili Village Chief (Tuatagaloa Joe Annandale), met local villagers and representatives from community groups, conservationists and park rangers.

The Queen this afternoon met pupils and teachers from Moata’a Village’s pastor school (aoga faifeau).

Her Majesty afterwards attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Women’s Forum High Level Side Event, Advocating for Women and Girls, at Tanoa Tusitala Hotel, Apia, and was received by the Baroness Scotland of Asthal (Commonwealth Secretary-General).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Trafalgar Night Dinner at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London SE10, and was received by Mr Matthew Burrow (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The King and Queen this morning left Australia for Samoa and were received at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (the Hon Samantha Mostyn) and the Governor of New South Wales (the Hon Margaret Beazley).

Their Majesties this evening arrived at Faleolo International Airport, Upolu, and were received by the British High Commissioner to the Independent State of Samoa (His Excellency Mr Gareth Hoar), the Rt Hon David Lammy MP (Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs), the Hon Fiame Naomi Mata’afa MP (Prime Minister of the Independent State of Samoa) and Ms Miriama Betham-Malielegaoi (Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Samoa).

The King and Queen attended a Ceremonial Welcome and His Majesty inspected a Guard of Honour.

The Prime Minister of the Independent State of Samoa was subsequently received by His Majesty.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, the Scar Free Foundation, this afternoon visited Swansea University’s Simulation and Immersive Learning Centre, Singleton Park Campus, Swansea University, Swansea, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mrs Louise Fleet).

Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended a Bicentenary Commemorative Service to recognise the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Vine Trust, later received Dr Claire Bawn upon assuming her appointment as Chairman and the Reverend William McPherson upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Mr Kenneth Holt upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Moredun Foundation, subsequently received Professor Julie Fitzpatrick upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Dr Tom McNeilly upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, Leuchie Forever Fund, this evening held a Benefactors’ Dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The King this morning visited the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence, 166-180 George Street, Redfern, and was received by the Chief Executive Officer of the National Indigenous Australians Agency (Ms Jody Broun).

His Majesty viewed a demonstration of traditional food preparation techniques, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance performances and met community elders.

The King afterwards visited the Cowper Street Development in Glebe and was received by the Premier of New South Wales (the Hon Christopher Minns MP).

His Majesty, escorted by the Premier, toured the development and met construction apprentices and beneficiaries of social housing projects from neighbouring communities.

The King and Queen this afternoon attended the Premier’s Community Barbeque in Parramatta Park and, having been received by the Premier of New South Wales, viewed displays of regional produce and met surf lifesavers and members of the local community.

The King later joined a Sustainable Markets Initiative Meeting held by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (the Hon Samantha Mostyn) at Admiralty House.

His Majesty, Royal Founding President, subsequently attended a Meeting of The King’s Foundation Australia at Admiralty House and was received by the Chairman (Mr Dominic Richards).

The King afterwards visited the Melanoma Institute Australia and, having been received by the Chief Executive Officer (Mr Matthew Browne), viewed a demonstration of scanning equipment and met a patient and members of staff.

His Majesty also met the Australians of the Year.

The King and Queen later drove to Sydney Opera House and met Sydney Opera House performers and members of the public, before proceeding on foot to Man O’War Steps Wharf.

Their Majesties were received with a Royal Salute and The King inspected the Guard.

The King, with The Queen, reviewed the Fleet anchored in Sydney Harbour.

At the end of the Review, His Majesty, with Her Majesty, witnessed a flypast.

The Queen this morning visited Refettorio OzHarvest Sydney, 481 Crown Street, Surry Hills.

Her Majesty, Vice-Patron, Royal Commonwealth Society, afterwards visited Green Square Library, Botany Road, Zetland, and met participants of The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, and subsequently, as Patron of The Queen’s Reading Room, met authors and representatives of local book clubs and authors.

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this morning chaired the Quarterly Meeting of the Court and attended a Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

The King and Queen this morning flew from Sydney to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, and were received at Defence Establishment Fairbairn by the Hon Richard Marles MP (Deputy Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia and Minister for Defence) and Mr Arthur Spyrou (Head of Commonwealth Protocol).

The King and Queen were received with a Royal Salute and participated in a Smoking Ceremony to mark the commencement of Their Majesties’ visit to Canberra (Ngunnawal country).

The King and Queen drove to the Australian War Memorial, Treloar Crescent, Campbell, Australian Capital Territory, and were received by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (the Hon Samantha Mostyn) and the Chairman of the National War Memorial (the Hon Kim Beazley).

Their Majesties walked to the Hall of Memory and The King laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier and The Queen laid a posy.

Their Majesties proceeded on foot to the For our Country Memorial and were received by Aunty Lorraine Hatton (Australian War Memorial Council Member).

The King and Queen this afternoon attended a Ceremonial Welcome at the Parliament of Australia and were received by the Rt Hon Anthony Albanese MP (Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia).

Their Majesties were received with a Gun Salute and The King inspected a Guard of Honour.

The King and Queen afterwards attended a Parliamentary Reception at Parliament House and were received by the Prime Minister, Mr Harry Jenkins MP (Speaker of the House of Representatives), Senator the Hon Susan Lines (President of the Senate), the Hon Peter Dutton MP (Leader of the Opposition) and Aunty Violet Sheridan (Senior Ngunnawal Elder).

His Majesty addressed those present.

The King and Queen afterwards met members of the public outside Parliament House.

Later, the Leader of the Opposition was received by The King at Government House, Canberra.

The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia was received in audience by His Majesty.

The King subsequently signed a Royal Warrant granting the Great Seal of Australia and presented the new Great Seal of Australia to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.

His Majesty later visited the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation National Bushfire Behaviour Research Laboratory and was received by the Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (Dr Douglas Hilton).

The King observed a demonstration of bushfire behaviour and a “burn over drill” in a Rural Firefighting Service heavy tanker.

The King and Queen afterwards visited the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Canberra, and were received by the Director of Australian National Botanic Gardens (Mr Peter Byron) and the Minister for Environment and Water (the Hon Tanya Plibersek MP).

The Queen this afternoon attended a Discussion on family and domestic violence in Australia held by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia at Government House.

Her Majesty, Patron, afterwards met representatives of GIVIT at the Australian National Botanic Gardens.

The King and Queen this afternoon received the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (the Hon Samantha Mostyn) and Mr Simon Beckett at Admiralty House.

The Governor of New South Wales (the Hon Ms Margaret Beazley) was received by His Majesty.
