COURT CIRCULAR

Sandringham, Norfolk

Today being the Feast of the Epiphany, a Sung Eucharist was held in the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace, when the customary offerings of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were made on behalf of The Queen by Lieutenant Colonel Gordon Birdwood and Air Commodore Malcolm Fuller (Gentlemen Ushers to Her Majesty).

The Bishop of London (Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) was the Celebrant and presented the Offerings, assisted by the Reverend Prebendary William Scott (Sub-Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) and the Reverend William Whitcombe (Priest in Ordinary).

The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty in the Chapel.

COURT CIRCULAR

Sandringham, Norfolk

Divine Service was held in Sandringham Parish Church this morning. The Bishop of Rochester preached the Sermon.

The Queen presented The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Academic Excellence at Springwood High School, King’s Lynn, to Darion Mayes, who was introduced into Her Majesty’s presence by Mr Andrew Johnson, the Headmaster.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, British Association of Friends of Museums, was represented by Mr. Alan Swerdlow at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mr. David Mawson (Founder) which was held in Norwich Cathedral, Norfolk, this morning.
