Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this morning received Professor Anthony Mellows (Lord Prior).

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon visited the League of Welldoers to mark their One Hundred and Twentieth Anniversary, 119-133 Limekiln Lane, Liverpool, and was received by Mr David McDonnell (Vice LordLieutenant of Merseyside).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited All Saints Catholic Primary School, Chestnut Grove, Bootle, Merseyside, and opened Sadie’s Garden.

The Duchess of Gloucester later opened Bailey Court (Extra Care Scheme), James Holt Avenue, Kirkby, Merseyside.

There were present: the Rt Hon Nicholas Clegg MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Edward Davey MP (Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change), the Rt Hon Christopher Grayling MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) and the Rt Hon Andrew Lansley MP (Leader of the House of Commons and Lord Privy Seal).

Mr Christopher Berry was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Dinner Party at Windsor Castle this evening at which The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence were present.

The following were invited: the Ambassador from the Federative Republic of Brazil (His Excellency Mr Roberto Jaguaribe) and Mrs Cinara Lima, Mr Tim Burton and Ms Helena Bonham Carter, Mr and Mrs Daniel Craig, Mr and Mrs Jock Green-Armytage, Dr Martin Roth and Dr Harriet Roth, Dr and Mrs Wolfgang Schreiber, Sir Hugh and the Hon Lady Roberts, Lieutenant General and Mrs Peter Pearson, the Reverend Canon and Mrs Martin Poll and the Reverend Dr and Mrs Edmund Newell.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Crown Agents Foundation, this afternoon attended the Council Meeting at the Royal Over-Seas League, Over-Seas House, Park Place, St James’s Street, London SW1.

Windsor Castle 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Mars Chocolate UK, Dundee Road, Slough, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss) and the President of Mars Chocolate UK (Ms Fiona Dawson).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness toured the Company, escorted respectively by the President and Mr John Newman (Operations Director), viewing the manufacturing and cooking process and meeting members of staff, technicians and food scientists.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, afterwards opened Britwell Community Centre, Wentworth Avenue, Slough, and was received by the Chief Executive of Slough Borough Council (Ms Ruth Bagley) and the Mayor of Slough (Councillor Christine Small).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness toured the Centre, escorted respectively by the Chief Executive and Councillor Robert Anderson (Ward Councillor for Britwell, Leader of Slough Borough Council), and met members of the Recycled Teenagers Club and Community Centre groups.

Clarence House 

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, the Great Steward of Scotland’s Dumfries House Trust, this morning opened the new Tamar Manoukian Outdoor Centre at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire.

His Royal Highness, Duke of Cornwall was represented by Mr Christopher Gregory (Land Steward for the Isles of Scilly District) at the Funeral of Mr Michael Hicks (Chairman of the Council of the Isles of Scilly) which was held at St Mary the Virgin Church, St Mary’s, Isles of Scilly, this afternoon.

St James’s Palace 

Prince William, Earl of Strathearn and The Countess of Strathearn were present this morning at the opening of the new Tamar Manoukian Outdoor Centre at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire, by The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay.

The Duke of Cambridge, Commodore-in-Chief, Submarines, and The Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon visited the Astute Class Submarine site at BAE Systems, Barrow-in-Furness, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria (Mrs Peter Hensman).

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mrs Susan le Jeune d’Allegeershecque (the Republic of Austria), Ms Vivian Life (the Kingdom of Denmark) and Ms Diane Corner (the Democratic Republic of the Congo).

Mr Stéphane le Jeune d’Allegeershecque, Mr Timothy Dowse and Mr Peter Stocker were also received by Her Majesty.

Mrs Lindsay Skoll was received in audience by The Queen upon her appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Seychelles.

Mr Richard Skoll was also received by Her Majesty.

The Governor of Victoria (the Hon Alex Chernov) was received by The Queen.

The Governor of Victoria and Mrs Chernov remained to Luncheon with The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness gave a Reception at Windsor Castle this evening for the British Film Industry at which Princess Beatrice of York, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester with the Lady Rose Gilman, and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent were present.

St James’s Palace 

Prince William, Earl of Strathearn and The Countess of Strathearn today visited Glasgow and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Sadie Docherty, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited the Emirates Arena.

Prince William, Earl of Strathearn and The Countess of Strathearn this afternoon visited Quarriers Stopover, 200 Pollokshaws Road.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards launched the Royal Foundation Coach Core Programme at the Donald Dewar Leisure Centre, 200 Garscadden Road.

Buckingham Palace 

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Reception at St Anne’s Parish Hall, Church Road, Bagshot, to celebrate the Ninetieth Anniversary of Bagshot Women’s Institute and was received by Ms Perdita Hunt (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Logistic Corps, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Twentieth Anniversary Beating Retreat and Dinner at Prince William of Gloucester Barracks, Grantham, Lincolnshire.
