Buckingham Palace

The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs Yudhoyono, with the Indonesian Suite in attendance, left Buckingham Palace this morning.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, accompanied by Mrs Yudhoyono, afterwards delivered an Address to Wilton Park at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, King Charles Street, London SW1, and was received by the Baroness Warsi (Senior Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office) and the Chairman of Wilton Park (Mr Iain Ferguson).

The President this afternoon attended an Indonesia-United Kingdom Business Forum at St. James’s Palace.

His Excellency was welcomed by the Rt Hon Vincent Cable MP (Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills) and subsequently gave a Keynote Address to open the Forum.

Mrs Yudhoyono this afternoon visited Her Majesty’s Tower of London.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs Yudhoyono then concluded the State Visit to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales this morning departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Papua New Guinea.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia this morning attended a Meeting of the United Nations High Level Panel on Post-Millennium Development Goals, at Marlborough House, London SW1, and was received by the Co-Chairmen (The President of the Republic of Liberia and the Rt Hon David Cameron MP, Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) and the Rt Hon Justine Greening MP (Secretary of State for International Development).

The President and Mrs. Yudhoyono today visited the Palace of Westminster and were received by the Lord Speaker (the Baroness D’Souza) and the Rt Hon John Bercow MP (Speaker of the House of Commons).

The Speaker welcomed His Excellency and Mrs Yudhoyono and The President delivered an Address.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs Yudhoyono subsequently attended a Reception with the All-Party Parliamentary Groups, Peers, Members of Parliament and other guests.

The President this afternoon visited No 10 Downing Street and had talks with the Prime Minister and subsequently was entertained to Luncheon by the Prime Minister on behalf of Her Majesty’s Government.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs. Yudhoyono later visited the Royal College of Defence Studies, Seaford House, Belgrave Square, London SW1, and were received by the Commandant (Lieutenant General Sir David Bill).

The Commandant gave an Address of Welcome and His Excellency delivered a Speech.

The President afterwards attended the United Nations High Level Panel on Post-Millennium Development Goals Co-Chairmen’s Press Conference and Reception at No 10 Downing Street.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs Yudhoyono this evening received an Address of Welcome and were entertained at a Banquet by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor and the City of London Corporation at Guildhall.

Mrs Yudhoyono this morning visited the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Surrey.

Mrs Yudhoyono this afternoon visited the “Northern Renaissance: Dürer to Holbein” Exhibition at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace.

The Queen, Duke of Lancaster and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning attended a Service of Dedication for the Diamond Jubilee Window in The Queen’s Chapel of the Savoy, Savoy Hill, London WC2, and were received by the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (the Lord Strathclyde), the Chairman of the Duchy Council (the Lord Shuttleworth) and the Chaplain (the Reverend Professor Peter Galloway).

After the Service Her Majesty and His Royal Highness met Duchy of Lancaster Council members and members of the congregation.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Earl and Countess of Airlie at the Memorial Concert for Mr Leopold de Rothschild which was held at the Cadogan Hall, London SW1, this evening.

The Princess Royal was represented by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators, was represented by Captain John Hutchinson (formerly Past Master) at the Memorial Service for the Life of the Lord Marshall of Knightsbridge which was held in St Paul’s Church Knightsbridge, London SW1, this morning.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs Yudhoyono today commenced a State Visit in London to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Duke of York welcomed The President and Mrs Yudhoyono on behalf of The Queen at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs Yudhoyono, accompanied by The Duke of York, drove to Horse Guards and were met by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs Yudhoyono, accompanied by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, with The Duke of York, drove in a Carriage Procession to Buckingham Palace with a Sovereign’s Escort of the Household Cavalry.

Guards of Honour were provided at Horse Guards by the 1st Battalion Irish Guards and at Buckingham Palace by F Company Scots Guards.

The Queen, Freeman, the Worshipful Company of Drapers, today opened Drapers’ Academy, Harold Hill, Romford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Chairman of Governors (Major General Adrian Lyons), the Master Draper (the Lady Victoria Leatham) and the Mayor of the London Borough of Havering (Councillor Lynden Thorpe).

Her Majesty toured the Academy, escorted by the Principal (Mr Matthew Slater), visiting the Sports Hall, where schoolchildren were engaged in sporting activities, and the Science Laboratories, where students were conducting experiments, and met students and teachers, before meeting representatives from the Worshipful Company of Drapers, Academy Governors and staff.

The Queen listened to a performance by the Academy Choir, before the Principal announced the naming of the Diamond Jubilee Hall.

Her Majesty was subsequently entertained to Luncheon by the Chairman of Governors.

By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Dr Oskaras Jusys at 2 Bessborough Gardens, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Lithuania to the Court of St James’s.

Buckingham Palace

The Queen this morning opened the newly developed Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank, London SE1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Chairman of the Jubilee Gardens Trust (Mr Edward Inman) and the Mayor of the London Borough of Lambeth (Councillor Clive Bennett).

Her Majesty afterwards visited the British Film Institute Southbank, the South Bank Centre, London SE1, and was received by the Chairman of Governors (Mr Gregory Dyke) and Mrs Amanda Nevill (Chief Executive).

The Queen, escorted by the Chairman of Governors and the Chief Executive, toured the Institute, meeting Governors and Directors, staff and film producers, watching school students in a practical workshop and viewing a short film montage on the history of film.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Captain General, Royal Marines, today visited 43 Commando Fleet Protection Group at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde, Faslane, and was received by Her Majesty’s LordLieutenant of Dunbartonshire (Rear Admiral Michael Gregory).

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

By command of Her Majesty, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Kitti Wasinondh at 9 Tregunter Road, London SW10, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Thailand to the Court of St James’s.
