His Majesty afterwards held a Meeting via telephone with Chief Constable Gavin Stephens (Chairman of National Police Chiefs’ Council and Chief Constable of Surrey Police) and Chief Constable Ben-Julian Harrington (UK Gold Commander and Chief Constable of Essex Police).

The King this morning held a Meeting with Kīngi Tūheitia (Māori King) via telephone.
His Majesty later visited Helmsdale Railway Station to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Sutherland and Caithness railway line and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Sutherland (Major General Patrick Marriott).
The King, escorted by Ms Catriona Whitfield (Deputy Lieutenant of Sutherland), met railway workers, representatives of Helmsdale Community Council and members of Sutherland Schools Pipe Band.
His Majesty afterwards laid flowers at Helmsdale War Memorial to mark its Centenary and met veterans and members of the local community.

The Duchess of Edinburgh later attended an Afternoon Tea Reception for British Triathlon given by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic (Her Excellency Dame Menna Rawlings) at the Residence in Paris.
