The Earl of Wessex this morning visited the Young Men’s Christian Association and the Plantation Café, Bridge Street, Guildford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mrs Timothy Goad).

His Royal Highness later visited the Community Foundation for Surrey, 1 Bishops Wharf, Walnut Tree Close, Guildford.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon visited Peer Productions, Woking Youth Arts Centre, Trinity Road, Knaphill, Woking, Surrey.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited Camberley Sea Cadets, 2A Gilbert Road, Frimley, Camberley, Surrey.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Meningitis Trust, this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, President, Breast Cancer Haven Guardians, later held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Countess of Wessex this evening attended the Combined Services Winter Sports Association Dinner at St James’s Palace.

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Yachting Association, accompanied by Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, this morning attended the Boat Show Luncheon at ExCel, One Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, London E16.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Restorative Justice Council, this afternoon launched the new Council at Clifford Chance, 10 Upper Bank Street, London E14.

The Princess Royal, Master the Royal Treasurer, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, this evening attended a Reception at Inner Temple, London EC4.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this morning received Brigadier Anthony Berry upon relinquishing his appointment as Honorary Director of Ceremonies and Colonel Timothy Purdon upon assuming the appointment.

Her Majesty presented The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Academic Excellence at Springwood High School, King’s Lynn, to Daniel McGarry, who was introduced into Her Majesty’s presence by Mr Andrew Johnson, the Headmaster.

Sandringham, Norfolk

Today being the Feast of the Epiphany, a Sung Eucharist was held in the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace, when the customary offerings of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were made on behalf of The Queen by Air Vice-Marshal David Hobart and Major Grant Baker (Gentlemen Ushers to Her Majesty).

The Bishop of London (Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) was the Celebrant and presented the Offerings, assisted by the Reverend Prebendary William Scott (Sub-Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) and the Reverend Richard Bolton (Priest in Ordinary).

The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty in the Chapel.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Lord Wright of Richmond (formerly Permanent Under-Secretary of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Head of the Diplomatic Service) at the Funeral of Sir David Scott (formerly Her Majesty’s Ambassador to South Africa) which was held at Guildford Crematorium, Godalming, Surrey, this afternoon.
