The King this morning presented Honours at Buckingham Palace to members of the Army who were involved in the State Funeral of The late Queen Elizabeth II.

His Majesty received the Bishop of Blackburn (the Right Reverend Philip North) today who did homage upon his appointment.

The Rt Hon Alexander Chalk MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) administered the Oath.

The Bishop of Carlisle (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.

The Lord Patten of Barnes was received by The King this afternoon when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

The Rt Hon Ben Wallace MP (Secretary of State for Defence) was received by The King.

Admiral Sir Benjamin Key (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff) was received by His Majesty.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning attended Shallowford Trust’s Farm to City: Dartmoor to You “pop-up” farm at Providence House Youth Club, 138 Falcon Road, London SW11, and was received by Ms Patricia Windsor (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, later attended Childhood Day at Richard Atkins Primary School, New Park Road, Brixton Hill, London SW2, and was received by Mr Christopher Wellbelove (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon received Dr Claire Yorke (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow, Center for War Studies at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense).

The Duke of Kent, Patron, the Tank Museum, having been received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset (Mr Angus Campbell), this morning viewed the “Tanks in Popular Culture” Exhibition at the Tank Museum, Bovington, Wareham, to commemorate the Museum’s Centenary and, as Patron, Royal Armoured Corps Memorial Trust, visited the new Memorial Room to mark its opening.

The King this evening attended a performance of George Frideric Handel’s Coronation Anthems and “Dettingen Te Deum” given by the Royal Philharmonic Society and Wigmore Hall to celebrate the Coronation in St James’s Roman Catholic Church, Spanish Place, 22 George Street, London W1, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Chairman of Royal Philharmonic Society and Director of Wigmore Hall (Mr John Gilhooly) and the Rector (Monsignor Philip Whitmore).

The King this morning presented Honours at Windsor Castle to the Crew of the State Gun Carriage of the Royal Navy at the State Funeral of The late Queen Elizabeth II.

Admiral Sir Benjamin Key (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff) was present.

The Hon Nicolas Bramall was received by The King this afternoon and delivered up the Insignia of the Order of the Garter worn by his father, the late Field Marshal the Lord Bramall.

The Hon Mrs Nicolas Bramall was also received by His Majesty.

The Hon Mrs Barnes-Yallowley and the Hon Verity Inge were received by The King and delivered up the Insignia of the Order of the Garter worn by their father, the late Field Marshal the Lord Inge.

The Very Reverend Dr David Ison was received by The King this afternoon when His Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order upon relinquishing his appointment as Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral, and Dean of the Order of St Michael and St George and Dean of the Order of the British Empire.

Surgeon Captain David Anthony Hett RN was received by The King upon relinquishing his appointment as Medical Officer to Queen Elizabeth II Abroad, and Tour Doctor to The King, when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.
