COURT CIRCULAR

Sandringham, Norfolk

Today being the Feast of the Epiphany, a Sung Eucharist was held in the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, when the customary offerings of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were made on behalf of The Queen by Lieutenant-Colonel Oliver Breakwell and Commodore Laurie Hopkins RN (Gentlemen Ushers to Her Majesty).

The Bishop of London (Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) was the Celebrant and presented the Offerings, assisted by the Reverend Prebendary William Scott (Sub-Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) and the Reverend Richard Bolton (Priest in Ordinary).

The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty in the Chapel.

By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Jean-Michel Veranneman de Watervliet at 36 Belgrave Square, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Belgium to the Court of St James’s.
