The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Palm Paper Limited, Saddlebow, King’s Lynn, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (Mr. Richard Jewson), the Chief Executive of Papierfabrik Palm (Dr. Wolfgang Palm) and the Mayor of the Borough of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk (Councillor Mrs. Zipha Christopher).
Her Majesty, escorted by the Chief Executive, and His Royal Highness, escorted by Mr. Stephan Gruber (Managing Director, Production), toured the site, viewing the Main Control Room and the paper-making process, and met members of staff.
The Queen unveiled a plaque to commemorate the visit.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited West Norfolk Deaf Association, King’s Lynn, and were received by the Chairman of Trustees (Mr. Frederick Cotton).
Her Majesty, escorted by Ms. Amanda Kenny (Association Manager), and His Royal Highness, escorted by Mrs. Margaret Tate (Founder Trustee), toured the premises, visiting the Play Room and the Information Technology Room, and met members of the deaf community, staff, volunteer workers and trustees.

The Prince of Wales this morning held a Tree Health Meeting at Clarence House.
His Royal Highness afterwards received the Rt. Hon. Andrew Mitchell MP (Secretary of State for International Development).
The Prince of Wales this afternoon received the Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP (Secretary of State for the Home Department and Minister for Women and Equalities).
His Royal Highness received The Crown Princess of Romania and Prince Radu of Romania.
The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment, afterwards received Mr. Robert Napier (Chairman, Homes and Communities Agency).
His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening held a Dinner for The Prince’s Countryside Fund at Clarence House.
The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, this morning received Colonel Bob Richardson-Aitken (Trustee) and Mrs. Lucinda Stafford-Deitsch (Trustee).
Buckingham Palace
The Duke of York, Commodore-in-Chief, Fleet Air Arm, this morning received Rear Admiral Simon Charlier upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief of Staff, Aviation and Carriers.
His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, received His Excellency Mr. Abdulla Ali Mohamed Al-Radhi (Ambassador from the Republic of Yemen).
The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by the Earl of Home at Coutts Bank, 440 Strand, London WC2.
His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, later visited Coller Capital, 33 Cavendish Square, London W1.
The Duke of York, President, Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, afterwards held a Briefing for Tickets for Troops.
His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment subsequently received Ms. Josette Sheeran (Executive Director, United Nations World Food Programme).

The Countess of Wessex, President, the Royal Bath and West of England Society, this afternoon attended the Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Show at the Royal Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Lady Gass).
