The Duke of Gloucester today carried out the following engagements in Crete to mark the Seventieth Anniversary of the Battle of Crete.

His Royal Highness this morning attended a Doxolgy Service and laid a wreath at the Metropolitan Church of Chania, Chania Old Town.

The Duke of Gloucester later attended a Red Arrows display on Chania waterfront.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Memorial Service at the German Cemetery, Maleme.

The Duke of Gloucester subsequently attended a Luncheon at O Milos Tou Kerata Restaurant, Platanias.

His Royal Highness this evening arrived in Athens.

The Duke of Gloucester later attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Greece (His Excellency Dr David Landsman) at the Residence in Athens.
