The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.
Lieutenant General Jeremiah Mateparae (Governor-General designate of New Zealand) was received in audience by The Queen when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood as a Knight Grand Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
Lady Mateparae was also received by Her Majesty.
The Governor-General designate of New Zealand and Lady Mateparae remained to Luncheon with The Queen and The Earl of Wessex.
The Duke of Edinburgh this morning presented the Templeton Prize at Buckingham Palace.
His Royal Highness this afternoon attended an Education and Technology Patronage Luncheon at the Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member, Special Boat Service Association, this evening held a Reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, Patron, Marie Curie Cancer Care, this morning opened the Marie Curie Hospice, Springburn, Glasgow, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Robert Winter, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).
The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay this afternoon held a Reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for Perth Race Day in support of The Prince’s Scottish Charities.
His Royal Highness afterwards received the Rt Hon Alex Salmond MP, MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Executive).
The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment, later held a Meeting at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
Their Royal Highnesses this evening gave a Reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for the newly elected Members of the Scottish Parliament.

The Duchess of Rothesay later visited the Elephant Family’s “Jungle City” project at Dovecot Studios, 10 Infirmary Street, Edinburgh.
