Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Patron, this morning visited Goodenough College, Mecklenburgh Square, London WC1, to commemorate the College’s Eightieth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Chairman of the Board (Mr. Jonathan Hirst) and the Mayor of the London Borough of Camden (Councillor Abdul Quadir).
Her Majesty toured the College, escorted by Major General Andrew Ritchie (Director), and subsequently attended a Reception in the Great Hall.
The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this evening opened the “Royal Manuscripts: the Genius of Illumination” Exhibition at the British Library, 96 Euston Road, London NW1, and was received by the Chairman (the Baroness Blackstone) and Dame Lynne Brindley (Chief Executive).
The Duke of Edinburgh this morning planted a Cross of Remembrance in the Royal British Legion Field of Remembrance at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1.
His Royal Highness, Grand President, Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the Canadian High Commission, 1 Grosvenor Square, London W1.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Lord de Mauley (Lord in Waiting) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Earl Bathurst (formerly Lord in Waiting) which was held in the Parish Church of St. John Baptist, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, this afternoon.
The Prince of Wales was represented by Sir Henry Elwes.
The Earl of Wessex was represented by Major General Arthur Denaro.
The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs. Brian Hammond.
The Duke and Duchess of Kent were represented by Mr. Andrew Palmer.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton from Tanzania.
Mr. Clive Alderton, Mrs. Joy-Maria Camm, Mr. Patrick Harverson, Miss Eva Omaghomi and Major Peter Flynn were in attendance.

The Duke of Cambridge, Patron, National Memorial Arboretum Future Foundations Appeal, and Duchess of Cambridge this evening attended an Appeal Dinner at St. James’s Palace.
Buckingham Palace
The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Irish Regiment (27th (Inniskilling), 83rd, 87th and The Ulster Defence Regiment), this morning received Lieutenant Colonel Peter Walker upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 2nd Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Owen Lyttle upon assuming the appointment.
His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Irish Regiment (27th (Inniskilling), 83rd, 87th and The Ulster Defence Regiment), also received Lieutenant Colonel Colin Weir upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer 1st Battalion.
The Lord Ballyedmond (Honorary Colonel 2nd Battalion) and was present.
The Duke of York, President, Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, this afternoon received Mr. Robin Broke upon relinquishing his appointment as Director and Mr. Bernard Donoghue upon assuming the appointment.
His Royal Highness afterwards received Mr. Paul Lester (Chief Executive, Greenergy International).
The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, Small Arms School Corps, subsequently gave a Tea for representatives of the Corps who have recently returned from Afghanistan.
His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by the Vitol Group at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting at the Berkeley Hotel, London SW1.
His Royal Highness later received the Commander-in-Chief, Land Forces (General Sir Nicholas Parker) at Buckingham Palace.
The Earl of Wessex, Patron, Chilean-British University of Santiago, afterwards held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.
His Royal Highness, Chairman of the International Council, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Association, this afternoon held a Meeting.
The Earl of Wessex this evening gave a Presentation and attended a Dinner at the Special Forces Club.

Her Royal Highness, President, Save the Children UK, this afternoon launched the Facing North Portrait Exhibition and attended a Reception at the Ivory Restaurant, Victoria Square, Belfast, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Dame Mary Peters).
The Princess Royal, Patron, the Jubilee Woods Project, later attended a Community Tree Pack Planting at Oakfield Community Development Centre, Carrickfergus, County Antrim.
Her Royal Highness afterwards opened Belfast Metropolitan College at Titanic Quarter, Queen’s Road, Belfast.
The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, The King’s Royal Hussars, was represented by Colonel David Woodd (Colonel, The King’s Royal Hussars) at the Service of Thanksgiving for Major General Peter Cavendish (Colonel, 14th/20th King’s Hussars) which was held in All Saints’ Parish Church, Alport Lane, Youlgrave, Derbyshire, today.
