COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were present this evening at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Duke of York, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and Prince Michael of Kent were also present.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, today carried out the following engagements in Canberra, Australia.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning named Queen Elizabeth Terrace in Canberra.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited the Office of National Assessments.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received the Hon Julia Gillard MP (Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia) at Government House.

The Hon Anthony Abbott MP (Leader of the Opposition) was received by His Royal Highness.

Mr Norman Dunn was received by The Prince of Wales when His Royal Highness decorated him with the Royal Victorian Medal (Silver).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall later received Families of the Fallen at Government House.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited the Australian War Memorial, Treloar Crescent, Campbell, where The Prince of Wales laid a wreath.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently departed Royal Australian Air Force Fairbairn for New Zealand and were received upon arrival this evening at Royal New Zealand Air Force Base Auckland, Whenuapai, by the Rt Hon John Key MP (Prime Minister of New Zealand).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this morning visited the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery at Stanley, Falkland Islands.

His Royal Highness later visited HMS Clyde in Stanley Harbour.

The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards, this afternoon visited Tumbledown Mountain and laid a wreath at the Scots Guards Memorial.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Liberation Service and laid a wreath at the Liberation Monument, Stanley.

The Duke of Kent afterwards attended a Dinner at Government House, given by the Governor of Falkland Islands (His Excellency Mr Nigel Haywood) for members of the Falkland Islands community.
