COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh laid wreaths at the Cenotaph this morning on the occasion of Remembrance Day.

Wreaths were also laid by The Duke of Cambridge, The Duke of York, The Earl of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Prince Michael of Kent (on behalf of The Duke of Kent).

A wreath was laid on behalf of The Prince of Wales by Field Marshal the Lord Guthrie of Craigiebank.

The Duchess of Cambridge, The Countess of Wessex and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence were present during the Ceremony.

The Earl of Wessex afterwards took the salute at the March Past of Ex-Servicemen and Civilian Organisations on Horse Guards Parade, London SW1.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, today carried out the following engagements in Auckland, New Zealand.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning attended a Maori “Welcome to Country” ceremony at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, Parnell.

The Prince of Wales, Air Commodore-in-Chief, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall, afterwards witnessed a flypast marking the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Royal New Zealand Air Force before attending a Service of Remembrance at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

His Royal Highness laid a wreath during the Service.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall subsequently met members of the New Zealand media at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester, accompanied by The Duchess of Gloucester, this morning attended a Service of Remembrance and afterwards took the salute at the Armistice Day Parade at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr Ian Dudson).

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent this morning attended a Remembrance Day Service in Christ Church Cathedral, Stanley, Falkland Islands.

His Royal Highness later laid a wreath at the Service of Remembrance at the Cross of Sacrifice in Stanley.

The Duke of Kent, President, the Scout Association, afterwards met Scouts during a visit to the Memorial Wood, Stanley.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Reception at Falkland Islands Defence Force Headquarters, Stanley.

The Duke of Kent this evening attended a Dinner given by Members of the Legislative Assembly at Café Carancho, Bluff Cove.
