Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Welsh, today received Lieutenant Colonel Jeffery Cleverly upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer of 3rd Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Robert Manuel upon assuming the appointment.
Her Excellency Ms Perla Perdomo was received in audience by The Queen today upon her appointment as High Commissioner for Belize in London.
Dr Clare Huxley and Dr Camilla Lambrick were received by The Queen and delivered up the Insignia of the Order of Merit worn by their late father, Professor Sir Andrew Huxley.
Master Oscar Holm-Huxley (Dr Clare Huxley’s son) was also received by Her Majesty.
The Lord Fellowes (Secretary and Registrar of the Order of Merit) was in attendance.
The Duke of Edinburgh today received Sir Alan Rudge upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman of the ERA Foundation.
The Queen was represented by the Baroness Stowell of Beeston (Baroness in Waiting) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Lord Croham (formerly Head of Home Civil Service) which was held in St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning formally opened the new offices of the British High Commission, Ta’Xbiex Seafront, Ta’Xbiex, Malta, and were received by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta (His Excellency Mr Robert Luke).
Their Royal Highnesses later visited Playmobil Malta Limited, HF 80 Industrial Estate, Hal Far.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards visited Helen Keller Secondary Young Adults Education Resource Centre, Triq iz-Zghozija, Qrendi.
His Royal Highness, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, and Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited RFA Mounts Bay, Boiler Wharf Grand Harbour, Senglea.
The Earl of Wessex, Patron, Royal Fleet Auxiliary Association, and The Countess of Wessex, subsequently attended a Working Lunch on board RFA Mounts Bay.
His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness, Grand President, St John Ambulance in the Priory of England and the Islands, afterwards presented Ambulances to the St John Ambulance Service, Boiler Wharf Grand Harbour.
The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, and The Countess of Wessex later attended a Reception for young people who have reached the Gold Standard in the Award at the Palace, Valletta.
His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, and Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception at Corinthia Palace, San Anton.
The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, and The Countess of Wessex later attended a Dinner with the National Award Authority at Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay, St Julian’s.

Her Royal Highness, Warden, Gordonstoun School, this afternoon received Mr Simon Reid (Principal) and Professor Bryan Williams (Chairman of the Board of Governors).
The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, this evening attended the launch of the report findings of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Commission on Child Health Research, 5-11 Theobalds Road, London WC1.
