COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen, accompanied by The Earl of Wessex, left the Palace of Holyroodhouse this morning.

Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, drove to the Robin Chapel, Niddrie Mains Road, Edinburgh, to attend a Service to mark its Sixtieth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost), the Chaplain (the Reverend Thomas Coupar) and the Chairman of the Trustees, Thistle Trust (Mr Julian Birchal).

The Queen, Patron, accompanied by The Earl of Wessex, afterwards visited the Thistle Foundation at Wighton House, Niddrie Mains Road, Edinburgh, on the occasion of the Foundation’s Seventieth Anniversary and was received by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (Mr David Giffin) and the Chief Executive (Ms Diana Noel-Paton).

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, this morning visited Coed Darcy, Llandarcy, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mr Byron Lewis).

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community, later visited the Prince of Wales Inn, Ton Kenfig, as part of The Prince of Wales’ “Pub is the Hub” Initiative, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Mid Glamorgan (Mrs Kathrin Thomas).

The Prince of Wales, President, this afternoon held a Meeting for Business in the Community.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Royal Colonel, 4th Battalion The Rifles, this afternoon held a Reception for the families of soldiers currently deployed in Afghanistan.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York today attended the Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Anglian Regiment, this morning received Lieutenant Colonel Michael Aston upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 1st Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Dominic Biddick upon assuming the appointment.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, today attended the Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon, London SW19.
