COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr. Daniel Mulhall was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Ireland to the Court of St. James’s.

Mrs. Mulhall was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr. Claus Grube was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Denmark to the Court of St. James’s.

Mrs. Grube was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Brigadier John Anderson (President, 6th Queen Elizabeth’s Own Gurkha Rifles Regimental Association) was received by The Queen and presented a Message of Loyal Greetings to Her Majesty.

Major Dammarbahadur Shahi was also received by The Queen.

Mr. Charles Gray was received by The Queen upon relinquishing his appointment as Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Queen held a Council at 5.45 pm.

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Nicholas Clegg MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Alistair Carmichael MP) Secretary of State, Scotland Office), the Rt. Hon. William Hague MP (Secretary of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office), the Lord Hill of Oareford (Leader of the House of Lords and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster), the Rt. Hon. Patrick McLoughlin MP (Secretary of State, Department for Transport) and the Rt. Hon. Owen Paterson MP (Secretary of State, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Nicholas Clegg MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Freeman and Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers, this evening attended a Livery Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning received Mr. Shaun Kingsbury (Chief Executive, Green Investment Bank).

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community, this afternoon presented The Prince of Wales Medals for Arts Philanthropy at St. James’s Palace.

The Prince of Wales afterwards received members of the Society for the Environment at Clarence House who presented an Honorary Fellowship to His Royal Highness.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended the Sun Military Awards Ceremony at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London SE10, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, this afternoon received children and young people from Helen and Douglas House and helped them to decorate the Christmas Tree at Clarence House.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge and The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, Natural History Museum, this evening attended a screening of Sir David Attenborough’s “Natural History Museum Alive 3D” at the Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York today attended the World Innovation Summit for Health at Qatar National Convention Centre, Doha.

His Royal Highness arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon from Qatar.

Mrs. Amanda Thirsk was in attendance.

The Earl of Wessex, Master, the Worshipful Company of Gardeners, today attended the Tradescant Court and Luncheon at Wax Chandlers Hall, 6 Gresham Street, London EC2.

The Princess Royal, President, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences (United Kingdom), this morning received Mr. Alan Parker (Chairman, Brunswick Group) and Mr. William Anderson (Director).

Her Royal Highness, President, Victim Support, afterwards opened the South West London Divisional Office at 17-19 Falcon Road, London SW11.

The Princess Royal this afternoon opened a new Community Centre at 1-5 Rushworth Street, London SE1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, later received the Right Reverend John Gladwin (Chairman) and Mrs. Gillian Guy (Chief Executive) at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, Yeoman, the Worshipful Company of Saddlers, this evening attended a Reception at Saddlers’ Hall, 40 Gutter Lane, London EC2, to mark the Six Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Royal Charter, followed by a Service in St. Vedast Church, 4 Foster Lane, and Dinner at Saddlers’ Hall.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Patron, Prostate Cancer UK, this morning visited the Movember Headquarters, 50A Rosebery Avenue, London EC1.

Her Royal Highness, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, this afternoon attended the Annual General Meeting at the National Tennis Centre, 100 Priory Lane, London SW15.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited Xtrac Limited, Gables Way, Kennet Park, Thatcham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon. Mrs. Bayliss).

His Royal Highness, President, today opened the Museum at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Headquarters, 2 Marlow Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire.
