Clarence House

The Prince of Wales Patron, Royal Opera House, and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited High House Production Park, Vellacott Close, Purfleet, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (the Lord Petre).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited the Bell public house, the Street, Purleigh, and were received by Mr. Jonathan Douglas-Hughes (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Essex).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall later visited the Shakespeare in Schools Festival at the Palace Theatre, 430 London Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning opened Buckinghamshire University Technical College, Oxford Road, Aylesbury, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt.).

His Royal Highness today received Mr. Adrian White (Chairman, Biwater International Limited).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Switzerland.

The Countess of Wessex, Chairman, Women in Business, this afternoon launched the Women’s Network Forum of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, Patron, National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, this morning attended a “Family Learning Works in Schools: How Learning in Families Contributes to Raising Children’s Attainment” Seminar, PricewaterhouseCoopers Llp, 7 More London Riverside, London SE1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Sense – the National Deafblind and Rubella Association, this afternoon attended an Annual Supporters’ Reception, Wragge and Company, 3 Waterhouse Square, 42 Holborn, London EC1.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Honorary Fellow, the Institution of Civil Engineers, this evening attended a Lecture entitled “Innovative Partnerships in Flood Risk Management” at the Institution’s Headquarters, One Great George Street, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Patron, Mind (National Association for Mental Health), this afternoon received Mr. David Henry at Buckingham Palace upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. Ryan Campbell upon assuming the appointment.

Mr. Paul Farmer (Chief Executive) was present.
