COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The following were received by The Queen this afternoon upon their appointment as Justices of the High Court when Her Majesty invested them with the Insignia of a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire: Mrs Justice Andrews, Mrs Justice Carr, Mrs Justice Patterson and Mrs Justice Simler.

The following were received by The Queen upon their appointment as Justices of the High Court when Her Majesty conferred upon them the honour of Knighthood and invested them with the Insignia of a Knight Bachelor: Mr Justice Dingemans, Mr Justice Green, Mr Justice Hayden, Mr Justice Lewis, Mr Justice Nugee and Mr Justice Phillips.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning called upon Prince Saud al Faisal (Minister of Foreign Affairs) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by Prince Miteb bin Abdullah Al Saud at Janadriya Farm.

The Prince of Wales later attended a Meeting with Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz (Second Deputy Prime Minister), Prince Miteb bin Abdullah (Minister, Saudi Arabia National Guard), Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah (Deputy Minister, Foreign Affairs), Prince Sultan bin Salman (President, Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities) and Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf (Saudi Ambassador to London) at Janadriya Farm.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited the Pound Arts Centre, Pound Pill, Corsham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mrs Peter Troughton).

The Princess Royal, President, the Blues and Royals Association, this morning received Major Paul Stretton (Retired) upon relinquishing his appointment as Secretary.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Special Forces Club, later opened the renovated Club facilities, 8 Herbert Crescent, London SW1.

The Princess Royal, Patron, National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, this afternoon attended the “Higher Education: improving access and opportunities for mature students” Seminar at the University of East London, University Square, 1 Salway Road, London E15.

Her Royal Highness later presented the Ockenden International Prize at Lady Margaret Hall, Norham Gardens, Oxford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mr Timothy Stevenson).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this morning received Professor Anthony Mellows (Lord Prior) and Dr. Neil Conn (Lord Prior designate).

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, today received Mr Robert Burgin upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Professor John Wallwork upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Elizabeth Finn Care, this afternoon received Mr Richard Down upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr William Colvin upon assuming the appointment.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, today received Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Swift upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Butterfill upon assuming the appointment.
