Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received this afternoon at Ciampino Military Airport, Rome, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic (His Excellency Mr. Christopher Prentice), Ambassador Stefano Ronca (Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Monsignor Jose Bettencourt (Head of Protocol, Holy See).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visited The President of the Italian Republic and Mrs. Napolitano at Quirinale Palace and remained to Luncheon.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards visited The Sovereign of the State of the Vatican City (His Holiness Pope Francis).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh later arrived at Royal Air Force Northolt from Italy.

The Prince of Wales this morning attended the Worshipful Company of Hackney Drivers Service in the Priory Church of St. Bartholomew the Great, West Smithfield, London EC1.
His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, this afternoon held a Meeting at Clarence House.
The Prince of Wales received the Rt. Hon. George Osborne MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer).
His Royal Highness received General Sir Nicholas Houghton upon assuming his appointment as Chief of the Defence Staff.
The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, and President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, received Dr. Thant Myint-U (Chairman, Yangon Heritage Trust).
His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening gave a Dinner at Clarence House for the Turquoise Mountain Foundation.
The Duchess of Cornwall, President, the Royal Bath and West of England Society, this afternoon gave a Reception.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Injured Jockeys Fund, this afternoon attended the Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration at Aintree Racecourse and was received by Mr. David McDonnell (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside).
Her Royal Highness, President, World Horse Welfare, later visited Penny Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre, Preston New Road, Blackpool, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire (the Lord Shuttleworth).

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon departed from Gatwick Airport, London, for Italy.
