Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Visitor, this morning opened Westminster School’s new Sports Centre in Greycoat Street, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Chairman of Governors (the Very Reverend Dr John Hall) and the Head Master (Dr Stephen Spurr).
Her Majesty toured the Centre, viewing sporting activities, and met Governors, pupils and members of staff.
The Queen held a Council at 5.30 pm.
There were present: the Rt Hon Nicholas Clegg MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Gregory Barker MP (Minister of State for Climate Change), the Rt Hon Michael Gove MP (Secretary of State, Department for Education) and the Lord Hill of Oareford (Leader of the House of Lords and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster).
Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.
The Rt Hon Nicholas Clegg MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Royal Colonel, The Highlanders, 4th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, today presented Campaign Medals in Fallingbostel, Germany.
Captain Michael Dobson was in attendance.

His Royal Highness today received the Lord Mandelson (Chairman, Global Counsel) and Mr Benjamin Wegg-Prosser (Managing Partner).
The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, this afternoon held a Meeting at Clarence House.
The Prince of Wales, President, and Princess Alexandra, Deputy President, gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace to celebrate the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the British Red Cross Society.
The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty.
The Bands of the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre and The Parachute Regiment played selections of music during the afternoon.
The Duchess of Cornwall this evening received the Rt Hon William Hague MP (Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and Co-Host of the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict) and Ms Angelina Jolie (Special Envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Co-Host of the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict).
