The Queen held an Investiture at the Palace of Holyroodhouse this morning.
The Lord Peel (Lord Chamberlain) had an audience of The Queen this morning and presented an Address from the House of Lords to which Her Majesty was graciously pleased to make reply.
The Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Executive) was received in audience by Her Majesty today.
The Rt Hon Patricia Marwick MSP (Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament) was received in audience by The Queen.
Mr David Sellar was received by Her Majesty and delivered up the Lyon Baton upon his retirement as Lord Lyon King of Arms and Secretary of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle.
Dr Joseph Morrow was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Lord Lyon King of Arms and received from Her Majesty the Lyon Baton.
Mrs Christopher Roads was received by The Queen upon her appointment as Secretary of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle.
Mr Gary Robertson was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.
Mr William Gray Muir, winner of the annual shooting event of The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers, was presented to Her Majesty and received The Queen’s Prize.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers and the High Constables of the Palace of Holyroodhouse were on duty.
The Royal Marine Band Scotland, and the Bands of The Royal Regiment of Scotland and the Royal Scottish Pipers’ Society played selections of music during the afternoon.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, this morning unveiled a stained glass window at the New Club, Princes Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).
His Royal Highness, Royal Honorary Colonel, City of Edinburgh Universities Officers Training Corps, later visited Duke of Edinburgh House, 301 Colinton Road, Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited St Illtud’s Church, Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Dr Peter Beck).
His Royal Highness, President, National Trust for Places of Historic Interest and Natural Beauty, and Patron, Welsh Historic Gardens Trust, and Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Dyffryn Gardens, St Nicholas, Vale of Glamorgan.
The Prince of Wales later visited Sony UK Technology Centre, Pencoed Technology Park, Pencoed, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Mid Glamorgan (Mrs Kathrin Thomas).
The Prince of Wales, Royal Patron, the Dylan Thomas 100 Festival, and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening gave a Reception.
The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, War Memorials Trust, this afternoon visited the Welsh National War Memorial, Cathays Park, Cardiff, as part of the In Memoriam 2014 campaign to protect war memorials from theft.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, Arthritis Research UK, afterwards visited the Clinical Research Facility, University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park, Cardiff.
Kensington Palace
The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, this morning viewed the progression of the Moving Parents and Children Together Plus Programme at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School, Boadicea Street, London N1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, University of Bath, today presented Degrees at Bath Abbey and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Lady Gass).
His Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of Bath, this evening attended a Reception at Victoria Art Gallery, Bridge Street, Bath.
The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, University of Bath, later attended the Chancellor’s Dinner at the Pump Room, Stall Street, Bath.
Buckingham Palace
The Princess Royal this afternoon attended the West Berkshire Community Hospital Tenth Anniversary Garden Party, Rookes Way, Benham Hill, London Road, Thatcham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss).
Her Royal Highness, President, World Horse Welfare, later attended the International Colloquium on Working Equids at Royal Holloway, University of London, Egham Hill, Egham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Dame Sarah Goad).
