COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Senior Fellow, Royal Academy of Engineering, this evening attended the New Fellows Dinner at Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Dr. Monica Main (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Sutherland) at the Funeral of Major General David Houston (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Sutherland) which was held in Dornoch Cathedral, Sutherland, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Major General Patrick Marriott.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this morning visited The Prince of Wales School, Maiden Castle Road, Dorchester, Dorset.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the Poundbury development and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset (Mr Angus Campbell).

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales this evening departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Oman.

Sir David Manning, Mr Edward Lane Fox and Mr Nicholas Loughran are in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

His Royal Highness this morning called upon Deputy Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the Royal Court.

The Duke of York subsequently attended a Meeting with Dr Ahmad Al Saif (Vice Minister of Higher Education) at the Ministry.

His Royal Highness later visited the Saudi Stock Exchange.

The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Lunch given by Prince Turki bin Abdullah Al Saud (Governor of Riyadh).

His Royal Highness later attended a Reception for education, health and business leaders given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (His Excellency Sir John Jenkins) at the Residence.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner given by Prince Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Aziz at the Al Khalidiya Resort.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today held Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Caribbean Marine Institute, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, Caribbean Marine Institute, this evening held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Transform Housing, this morning visited Simmonds Court and Hawkins House in Farnham and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Dame Sarah Goad).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards, this evening attended the F Company Dinner at St. James’s Palace.
