His Excellency Mr. Rolando Drago Rodriguez was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Chile to the Court of St James’s.
Mrs Edith Gallardo was also received by Her Majesty.
His Excellency Mr Tahir Tofig Oglu Taghizadeh was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Court of St James’s.
Mrs Taghizadeh was also received by Her Majesty.
Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.
General Sir Nicholas Carter was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Chief of the General Staff.
The Queen, Patron, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening visited Chatham House, 10 St. James’s Square, London SW1, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Chairman (Mr Stuart Popham) and Dr Robin Niblett (Director).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Director and the Chairman, toured the Institute, meeting Academy Fellows, the Advisory Board and members of staff.
The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, removed a brick in the adjoining wall between Chatham House and Ames House to symbolise the expansion of the Institute of International Affairs into the neighbouring building, before launching The Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs.

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Her Majesty’s Prison Erlestoke, Westbury Road, Erlestoke, Devizes, and was received by Mr Robert Hiscox (Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire).
His Royal Highness this afternoon received Mrs Janine Kirk (Chief Executive of The Prince’s Charities Australia) at Clarence House.
The Prince of Wales, President, later attended a Reception to mark the renaming of The Prince’s Drawing School as the Royal Drawing School, at the Gallery, 19-22 Charlotte Road, London EC2.
The Prince of Wales, President, the Royal Drawing School, and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening held a Dinner at St James’s Palace.

Prince Henry of Wales this morning arrived at Muscat International Airport, Oman, and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman (His Excellency Mr Jonathan Wilks).
His Royal Highness later visited the British Embassy in Muscat and, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture.

The Duke of York afterwards attended a Roundtable Discussion with senior Saudi women in business at the offices of the Al Olayan Group.
His Royal Highness this afternoon called upon Prince Sultan Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Minister of Tourism and Antiquities) at Diryiah Farm.
The Duke of York later attended a Meeting with TPP Limited at the Al Faisaliah Hotel.
His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by the Al Olayan Executive Committee at the Al Olayan Residence.

His Royal Highness later visited the Motor Vehicle Skills Centre at Newbury College, Monks Lane, Newbury, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon. Mrs. Bayliss).
The Duke of Gloucester afterwards presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to a number of organisations at Newbury College.
