COURT CIRCULAR

Sandringham, Norfolk

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited South Lynn Fire Station, Horsley’s Fields, King’s Lynn, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (Mr Richard Jewson), the Chief Fire Officer Norfolk (Mr Nigel Williams) and the Mayor of the Borough of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk (Councillor Barry Ayers).

Her Majesty, escorted by the Chief Fire Officer, and His Royal Highness, escorted by Mr Leslie Britzman (Area Manager), viewed a fire engine and display of equipment and met members of Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and Fire Cadets.

The Queen opened South Lynn Fire Station.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this afternoon held a Reception for Dairy Initiative Farmers working with The Prince’s Countryside Fund.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Finland and later arrived at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and were received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Finland (Her Excellency Miss Sarah Price).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon called upon The President of the Republic of Finland at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, and The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, later attended a Reception at the Government Banquet Hall, Eteläesplanadi, Helsinki.

Their Royal Highnesses this evening attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador at the Residence in Helsinki.

Mr Timothy Roberts is in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society, this afternoon attended the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of Perth Bull Sales, Stirling Agriculture Centre, Stirling, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk (Mrs Marjory McLachlan).

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this evening held a Reception of the Palace of Holyroodhouse and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).
