COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Angélica Rivera de Peña today commenced a State Visit in London to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall welcomed The President and Señora Rivera on behalf of The Queen at the Intercontinental London Park Lane Hotel, One Hamilton Place, Park Lane, London W1.

The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Angélica Rivera de Peña, accompanied by The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, drove to Horse Guards and were met by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Angélica Rivera de Peña, accompanied by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, with The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, drove in a Carriage Procession to Buckingham Palace with a Sovereign’s Escort of the Household Cavalry.

Gun Salutes were fired in Green Park by The King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, and at the Tower of London by the Honourable Artillery Company.

Guards of Honour were provided at Horse Guards by 1st Battalion Welsh Guards and at Buckingham Palace by Nijmegen Company, Grenadier Guards.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms, The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard and a Detachment of Household Cavalry were on duty.

The Queen presented The President of the United Mexican States with the Insignia of an Honorary Knight Grand Cross of the Civil Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath.

The President of the United Mexican States this afternoon visited The Prince of Wales at Clarence House.

The President and Señora Rivera later drove to Westminster Abbey where His Excellency laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

The President of the United Mexican States afterwards visited the Palace of Westminster and was received by the Lord Speaker (the Baroness D’Souza) and the Rt Hon John Bercow MP (Speaker of the House of Commons).

The Speaker welcomed The President and His Excellency delivered an Address.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a State Banquet this evening in honour of The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Angélica Rivera de Peña at which The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke of York, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were present.

The Duke of Cambridge today carried out the following engagements in Shanghai, China.

His Royal Highness today attended the GREAT Festival of Creativity at the Long Museum.

The Duke of Cambridge subsequently attended a Premier Skills event at Nanyang School.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended Education UK’s Alumni Awards Ceremony.

The Duke of Cambridge afterwards reopened the Heritage Building at the Intercontinental Shanghai Ruijin Hotel.

His Royal Highness later attended an Illegial Wildlife Trafficking Meeting with international non-governmental organisations at the Intercontinental Shanghai Ruijin Hotel.

The Duke of Cambridge subsequently officially opened the British Centre.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended the Chinese Film Premiere of “Paddington” at Shanghai Film Museum.

The Duke of Cambridge this evening attended a Dinner for the GREAT Festival of Creativity at the Long Museum.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, University of Bath, this afternoon chaired a Meeting of the University Court at the University of Bath, Claverton Down Road, Bath, Somerset, and afterwards attended the Founders’ Day Lecture.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of Bath, this evening attended the Founders’ Day Dinner at the University of Bath.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, this afternoon attended the National Autistic Society’s Professional Conference at Harrogate International Centre, King’s Road, Harrogate, and was received by Dr. Jonathan Wild (Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St. John Ambulance, this afternoon opened the new Park Royal Complex, Unit 9 Central Park, Central Way, London NW10, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
