The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh left the Palace of Holyroodhouse this morning.
Her Majesty, Honorary Air Commodore, and His Royal Highness drove to 603 (City of Edinburgh) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force, 25 Learmonth Terrace, Edinburgh, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost) and the Honorary Air Commodore (Air Marshal Sir David Walker).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, escorted by the Commanding Officer (Squadron Leader Jerry Riley), met Squadron personnel.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, later took the salute at the Annual General Inspection at Welbeck — the Defence Sixth Form College, Welbeck Forest Road, Woodhouse, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire (Jennifer, Lady Gretton).

The Duke of York this morning unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the redevelopment of Coronation Park, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
His Royal Highness afterwards opened the Pacific Games Village, University of Papua New Guinea, and viewed the Games Baton Relay.
The Duke of York today attended a Garden Party for The Queen’s Young Leaders Award at 14 Mile Adventure Park, Port Moresby.
His Royal Highness later attended a Reception at the Sir John Guise Stadium, Port Moresby.
The Duke of York, representing The Queen, this evening opened the XV Pacific Games in the Sir John Guise Stadium.
