Buckingham Palace

The Baptism of the Infant Daughter of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took place at 4.30pm this afternoon in the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Sandringham.

The Baby received the names Charlotte Elizabeth Diana and was baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury, assisted by the Reverend Canon Jonathan Riviere (Domestic Chaplain to The Queen).

The sponsors were: Miss Sophie Carter, the Hon Laura Fellowes, Mr James Meade, Mr Adam Middleton and Mr Thomas van Straubenzee.

The Duke of York this morning attended a Church Service at St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

His Royal Highness, representing The Queen, afterwards attended the XV Pacific Games in the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium and the Sir John Guise Stadium, Port Moresby.

The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Port Moresby, given by the Governor of the Northern Capital District (the Hon Powes Pakop).

His Royal Highness later held a Reception at the Airways Hotel, Jacksons Parade, Port Moresby, for representatives from the Commonwealth.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner at the Airways Hotel for Papua New Guinean entrepreneurs.
