Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Mrs. Natalia Galibarenko was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Ukraine to the Court of St. James’s.

Mr Oleksandr Naumenko was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Libor Sečka was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Czech Republic to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Sečková was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Welsh, this afternoon received Brigadier Philip Napier upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel of the Regiment and Brigadier James Swift upon assuming the appointment.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Life Member, British Sub-Aqua Club, this morning received Mr. Harold Gould upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman, British Sub-Aqua Jubilee Trust, and Dr John Bevan upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace for the International Tribology Council to mark Fifty Years of Tribology.

The Duke of York this morning received Sir Harpal Kumar (Chief Executive Officer, Cancer Research UK)

His Royal Highness this afternoon received Mr John Harthorne (Chief Executive Officer, MassChallenge).

The Duke of York this evening attended a Reception for Pitch@Palace Alumni at Wayra Academy, Capper Street, London WC1.

His Royal Highness later attended a Lecture to mark the Eightieth Anniversary of the Christmas Lectures at the Royal Institution of Great Britain, 21 Albemarle Street, London W1.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for the Bahamas and this afternoon arrived at Lynden Pindling International Airport, Nassau.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, and Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, this evening attended a Dinner at Breezes Resort and Spa, Breezes Lane, Nassau.

Mr Timothy Roberts is in attendance.

The Princess Royal this morning visited the Metropolitan Police Specialist Training Centre, Mark Lane, Gravesend, Kent.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Agricultural Exposition at Kent County Showground, Detling, Maidstone, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle).

The Princess Royal, Patron, English Rural Housing Association, later opened Vyvyan Cottages, Standen Street, Iden Green, Benenden, Cranbrook, and was received by Lieutenant Colonel Richard Dixon (Deputy Lieutenant of Kent).

Her Royal Highness, Renter Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended a Livery Civic Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened Consett Academy, Ashdale Road, Consett, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs Susan Snowdon).

His Royal Highness afterwards opened Consett Leisure Centre at Consett Academy.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon opened the Kenneth King Sixth Form Centre at Barnard Castle School, Newgate, Barnard Castle.

His Royal Highness afterwards opened the Witham Hall, 3 Horse Market, Barnard Castle.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, this evening attended a Dinner on the occasion of the Davis Cup Tie between Great Britain and Japan at Birmingham City Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham, and was received by Colonel George Marsh (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this afternoon officially opened Wycombe High School Music Centre, Marlow Road, High Wycombe, and was received by the Countess Howe (Deputy Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire).

His Royal Highness, later officially opened Wycombe Leisure Centre, Handy Cross, High Wycombe, and was received by Sir Steven Redgrave (Deputy Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire).
