Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, this morning attended a Service of Thanksgiving in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, to celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and were received at the West Gate by the Dean (the Very Reverend Dr John Hall) and, at the Great West Door, by the Chapter and Mr Peter Westgarth (Chief Executive, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and The Countess of Wessex were present and attended a Reception after the Service.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, today held a Reception at Clarence House for the Environmental Law Foundation.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Service of Consecration at St Thomas Syriac Orthodox Cathedral, 7-11 Armstrong Road, London W3, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr Kenneth Olisa) and His Holiness the Patriarch of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch and All the East.

The Prince of Wales later received representatives of Aid to the Church in Need at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, Patron, The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) Association, this evening attended a Reception for the London Branch of the Association at the Victory Services Club, Seymour Street, London W2.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Royal Colonel, this morning visited 4th Battalion The Rifles at New Normandy Barracks, Aldershot, Hampshire.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon re-opened Piam Brown Children’s Specialist Cancer Ward, University Hospital, Southampton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, this afternoon arrived in St Lucia at Pointe Seraphine pier and was received by the Governor General (Dame Pearlette Louisy)

His Royal Highness this evening held an Investiture before attending a Reception given by the Governor General of St Lucia at Government House, Morne Fortune, Castries.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this afternoon received Lieutenant General Thomas Beckett (Defence Senior Advisor Middle East).

His Royal Highness later received His Excellency Mr José Antonio Meade (Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, United Mexican States) and Mr José Antonio González Anaya (Chief Executive Officer, Petróleos Mexicanos).

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex and The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the Two Moors Festival, this evening visited the Exhibition of Opals by John Adie at Buck’s Club, 18 Clifford Street, London W1, in aid of the Festival.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, and Her Royal Highness afterwards attended a Dinner to celebrate the Sixtieth Anniversary of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, at Spencer House, 27 St James’s Place, London SW1.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon chaired a Charities Forum at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, this morning attended a National Olympic Committee Meeting at 60 Charlotte Street, London W1.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the British School of Osteopathy, this afternoon attended a Graduation Ceremony at the Central Hall Westminster, Storey’s Gate, London SW1, and was received by Dr Paul Knapman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, President, the City and Guilds of London Institute, afterwards held The Princess Royal Training Awards Ceremony at St James’s Palace.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Royal Yacht Officers’ Dinner at the Royal Thames Yacht Club, 60 Knightsbridge, London SW1.

The Duke of Kent, Patron, this evening held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace for the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Princess Alexandra, Royal Patron, this afternoon visited Holly Lodge Centre, Richmond Park, Richmond, Surrey.
