COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Torbjorn Sohlstrom was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Sweden to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Sohlstrom was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Manuel Lobo Antunes was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Portuguese Republic to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Lobo Antunes was also received by Her Majesty.

General Sir Nicholas Carter (Chief of the General Staff) was received by Her Majesty this afternoon.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Rifles, this morning received General Sir Nicholas Carter (Colonel Commandant).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the College of Teachers, received Professor Angela McFarlane upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive and Professor Dame Alison Peacock upon assuming the appointment.

The Lord Petre (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) was present at Stansted Airport, London, this evening upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Namibia and Madame Monica Geingos and welcomed Their Excellencies on behalf of The Queen.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Founder and President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, this morning visited Cliveden Conservation at Houghton Hall, King’s Lynn, and was received by the Marquess of Cholmondeley (Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk).

His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening held a Reception at Sandringham House to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of the Norfolk Churches Trust.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning visited Bombardier Transportation UK Limited, Litchurch Lane, Derby, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire (Mr William Tucker).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Rolls-Royce, Wilmore Road, Derby.

The Duke this afternoon visited the Padley Centre, 68 Rutland Street, Derby.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Tusk Trust, this evening attended the Tusk Conservation Awards at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr Kenneth Olisa).

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, today carried out engagements in Bridgetown, Barbados.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Toast to the Nation Luncheon at St Ann’s Fort.

Prince Henry of Wales afterwards visited Queen Elizabeth Hospital, St Michael.

His Royal Highness this evening attended the Fiftieth Anniversary Concert at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex accompanied by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Latvia (Her Excellency Ms Sarah Cowley), today carried out the following engagements in Riga, Latvia.

His Royal Highness this morning was received by The President of the Republic of Latvia at the Presidential Palace, Riga Pils, Centra Rajons.

The Earl of Wessex afterwards visited Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration showcasing British education, Udens Road, Centra Rajons.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon visited Riga Tourism and Creative Industries School, Nicgales Road.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, later visited the Centre of Creative Learning, Annas Road, Centra Rajons.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Dinner at Vincent’s Restaurant, Elizabetes Road, Centra Rajons.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal College of Anaesthetists, this morning attended a Conference at the Royal College of Physicians, 9 Queen Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Moredun Foundation, later attended a Conference at the Moredun Research Institute, Pentlands Science Park, Bush Loan, Penicuik, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Midlothian (Sir Robert Clerk, Bt).

The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Team GB Ball at Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park, London SW11.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, this afternoon held a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace for Restore Burn and Wound Research.
