COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Mrs. Ammo Aziza Baroud was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Chad to the Court of St. James’s.

His Excellency Mr. Ado Elhadji Abou was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Niger to the Court of St. James’s.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Queen this afternoon received Colonel Timothy Purdon who delivered up his Stick of Office upon his retirement as Lieutenant of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms.

The Queen received Colonel Christopher Mackenzie-Beevor who delivered up his Stick of Office as Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant and received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Lieutenant of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms.

The Queen received Lieutenant Colonel John Kaye who received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms.

The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon received the Baroness Ashton of Upholland (formerly High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission).

His Royal Highness received Ms. Clare Pillman (Chief Executive, Natural Resources Wales).

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, received Lieutenant Colonel Duncan Mann upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel Commandant 2nd Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Taylor upon assuming the appointment, and Lieutenant Colonel James Loudoun upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel Commandant 4th Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Wareing upon assuming the appointment.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Tea at the Residence of the Czech Ambassador in London.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this morning officially opened the Fire Station, High Street West, Sunderland, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mrs. Susan Winfield).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited the new Northern Spire Bridge, Sunderland.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning visited Ashton Park School, Blackmoors Lane, Bower Ashton, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs. Peaches Golding).

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, afterwards visited Clifton College, Guthrie Road, Clifton, Bristol.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon visited Bristol Real Tennis Club, Clifton College Playing Fields, Abbots Leigh Road, Bristol, as part of His Royal Highness’s The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Real Tennis Tour, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs. Richard Maw).

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this evening attended a Dinner at Merchants’ Hall, the Promenade, Clifton.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the Brendoncare Foundation, this evening held a Dinner.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, Scotch Beef Club, this morning opened Mearns T. McCaskie’s new Butchery and Production Facility, Bayview Shore Road, Wemyss Bay, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Renfrewshire (Mr. Guy Clark).

Her Royal Highness, President, Victim Support Scotland, this afternoon visited the Glasgow Service, Abbey House, 10 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Eva Bolander, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Younger Brethren Guest Night, the Corporation of Trinity House, Trinity Square, London EC3.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, this evening opened the Angela Burgess Recital Hall at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Chancellor, University of Surrey, this evening attended The Queen’s Anniversary Prize Dinner, Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.
