The Queen was represented by Sir Thomas Dunne KG (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire) at the Funeral of Sir William Gladstone, Bt, KG (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd) which was held at St Deiniol’s Church, Hawarden, Flintshire, this afternoon.
The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Mrs Hywel Price. The Prince of Wales was represented by Mr Trefor Jones. The Duke of York was represented by Sir Algernon Heber-Percy. The Princess Royal was represented by the Hon Dame Shân Legge-Bourke. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Mr Henry Fetherstonhaugh. The Duke of Kent was represented by Mr Wayne Bulpitt. Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Lady Dunne.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, this morning visited a shop at Heighes House, Fore Street, Castle Cary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs Richard Maw).
Her Royal Highness afterwards opened Weston College’s South West Skills Campus, Locking Road, Weston-super-Mare, and was received by Mr Christopher Davies (Deputy Lieutenant of Somerset).
The Princess Royal, Honorary Member, the Society of Merchant Venturers, this afternoon opened the Chocolate Quarter Retirement Village, Trajectus Way, Keynsham, Somerset.
